Ever thought of a story and/or comic that sounds like it'd be the best ever and......

It falls flat and it's scrapped? It happens. Here are some axed projects that I couldn't figure out/lost interest. There were many but these three were the biggest.

#1: Super Resident Evil Mario

UPDATE! The videos!

www.youtube.com/user/aragenTV/… :XD:

Began on August 11th, 2008 and was "finished" on November 22, 2010.

Technically, I DID finish that one but you don't see my talking about it. Do you? This was kinda mentioned on my DA story.

SREM was a crazy fusion of Mario and Resident Evil (duh) and was to make the ultimate fusion of the two complete with custom BGs and enemies of RE reformated perfectly in the 2D SNES Mario style. I had a Wiggler as the Grave Digger from RE3, that asshole Fish from Mario Bros 3 as the RE2 Crocodile and finally Naval Piranha as Plant 42 from RE1. Personal fave was having Bowser as William Birkin and a random Rex as Rexker. Gee. Who was he supposed to be?

While it was completed as an abominable animated 14 part nightmare (it's still on YouTube, featured on a long since abandoned account, aragenTV), I actually planned a typed remake of it. Here's why it's on this Journal.

It died in 2011. I tried reviving it but nada. Here was the only pic I had done for the Revival:

Funny. This was done on August 2, 2011, an exact year when I began animating the final SREM clips! I had sketches done but...*blows raspberry*

I might do a pic of Mario/Chris Redfield Vs. Bowser/Birkin. :P For old times sake.

#2: Slender (2013)

Now this one died kinda quickly. XD I had a story but it didn't work. Plus the Virus Attack my Laptop suffered on Feb 12th, 2013 destroyed most of the files.

Slender was going to be my take on the Slender Man mythos and was very Silent Hill influenced. The one element I loved was that I had included a very Batman Returns-esque wintery setting. Imagine trying to run from Slender in a few inches of snow?

Slender took place in a fictional northern Michigan town known as Longwood Ridge and focused on a woman named Abigail Carter whose daughter was killed by Slender Man 5 years prior. As the cops reopen the case to find the girl's killer, Abby finds herself stalked by Slender and finds that the whole town are under his influence. She is aided by some of her teaching students, Jeff (uh oh) Allan and Kristy....I forgot her name. :XD: One of townsfolk who was REALLY out to get Abby was her teaching rival, Allison Hogkins who claimed Abby was a foul mother to her daughter.

Later on, it was to be revealed that Allison's claims were true and that Abby was an abusive drunk who left her daughter, Chelsea to freeze to death in the woods. When the cops reopen the case, Abby (who had sobered up) was only helping the cops to cover her tracks. Also, while I intentionally made it seem Jeff was THEE Jeff the Killer, I actually had him killed by Kristy (a human disguise for the Rake, Slender's top Dog). Abby is chased by both Slender, the Rake and the Townsfolk before finding shelter in an abandoned church in the woods. There, she's confronted Allison who reveals she killed Abby's daughter to put the child out of her misery (throughout the story, I had Abby thinking it was Slender who did it). Allison reveals a twisted alter ego (Allison JANE Hogkins was supposed to be a fusion of both Jeff and Jane the Killers) and attacks.

Here where things fell apart. The ending....or lack there off. All I remembered was that Slender kills Allison and I think I was gonna have Abby getting hers as well.

The poster done on Jan 13th, 2013:

The only "other" pic was this request I did a few weeks later on Feb 3th.

#3: Dreams

Dreams. My attempt at a Disney-esque story.

The original 2010 poster:

The 2012/2013 Teaser:
<da:thumb id="372772636"/>

Dreams began in November 2010 and like Venom Evo, evolved from a joke. It's also notable for introducing us all to foul mouthed redhead herself, Lucy Styber! It was about Lucy (twelve years old in the original version) obsessing about a mythical device simply called the Dream Machine. It lived up to its name and was able to bring one's thoughts into reality. Lucy and crew eventually find it within a bizarre underground world filled with imp-like creatures and the Dream Machine's vile and paranoid inventor. All hell breaks loose of course.

Dreams fizzled a month later and was revived in April 2012. The shocker? It WAS TYPED! A full story! Kid ya not! However....things came up and it sucked. :/ I tried fixing it again shortly after Elm Street: Requiem for a Nightmare was type in Feb 2013. Here was the problem.

Both Dreams and Elm Street: Requiem for a Nightmare had WAY too many similarities. It came down to keeping one and Requiem was it. Dreams though is not truly dead. As a Disney-esque story? Yes. At this point I will say this.....

Expect the Dormitory Tales series to get REALLY messed up in due time......;P

As for the OC replacement for Lucy, Lilli Carson <da:thumb id="432803557"/>, I've given her to neverb4.

So true. ;)

UPDATE

#4: The Fly-Girl (2013)/Arachnid(2008)

I completely forgot about this one! :XD:

Last Halloween, the first pics I did to celebrate the holiday was a couple of tribute pics to the brilliant 1986 film, the Fly using Rebecca Harris AKA the Fly-Girl.

As I worked on them, I began to toy around with the idea of (get this).....

A gender-bent version of the film using my characters. You'd have Rebecca Brundle, Arthur Quaffle and Kathleen Borans. You get the idea. It would have been the only time that Fly-Girl would have been the result of the Telepods like her inspiration. I messed around with the idea here and there but right away....there were issues. Some parts of the story wouldn't have work with the switched genders. The whole pregnant thing for one. I even looked at perhaps using elements of the original Charles Pogue script (the one planned before David Cronenberg rewrote it from scratch) but nada. I have given it seconds thoughts so maybe it COULD happen. It's not like I haven't thought of this before.......

In 2008, I was doodling away in my high school German class (not paying attention like the arschloche I am) and was messing around with the idea of a reverse version of The Fly. Instead of a Fly though, I joked around with the idea of having the woman teleporting herself with a lone spider. The story would have been called "Arachnid" had it been done. ONE thing still lives from it. The name of the woman who mutates into a spider? Rebecca Harris. ;)

The more ideas you get, the greater the chance is that one of them will succeed.

Btw, Arschgeige sounds better in this occasion
