Ariel's Grotto by arachnid223 Ariel's Grotto by arachnid223
I must've changed a hundred different elements of this photo before I got something I was pleased with. I used VUEs "render area" option to save time by changing many little errors I noticed without having to re-render the entire image. After finally getting it right, I used Photoshop for the oil texture and contrasting. Although I'm happy with the outcome, I still feel that there's something missing! I can't seem to pinpoint it though.

Programs: E-On Software, VUE & Adobe Photoshop

Polygons: 4.3 Billion

Render Time: ~55mins

Thank you! It's supposed to be a mermaids home, so peaceful is definitely something I was shooting for.
