It has been a long time since I've been on DA. It's been a long time since I've done what I love, which is conceptual art. I've spent the last year and a half doing what I don't like, graphic art. Graphic art pays the bills, but when you don't like it, a part of you slowly dies inside. I am still doing my job, which is full-time, but I'm now able to scale back a bit of my time on it and work a bit on the art I love to do.
Which brings me back to DA. :)
I hope to be able to spend more time here. I've missed the fine arts terribly, and what better place to see fine art every day but here! So I am back to the board! Back to my drawing board an
Wow, it has been a year since I was last here on DA! I should come around here more often. Lots has happened in the past year, but then again, a lot hasn't too. Just life, I guess.
GOOD NEWS THOUGH! My husband had his last CT Scan and it was all clear! No cancer. :) It was such a relief to hear, and now the doctor is much more positive about his prognosis. :)
I will try to come on here a bit later and write a more indepth journal entry. Right now I am busy. Until then, take care!
I know that I am scarce around here much anymore but I have been quite busy with life. My husband is now done with chemo and has had a scan done that showed he is still cancer free! So we are happy about that. :) I have also submitted into a huge competition called ArtPrize that is held in Grand Rapids, MI. The grand prize winner gets $250,000! I have recently secured a venue to host "The Catalyst" and perhaps several more of my work during this incredible event right in the center of everything in downtown Grand Rapids. It is a great venue and I am excited about the opportunity. My work will hang in the Louis Benton Steakhouse and the event
