The black and white drawings of Apollonia Saintclair appeared from nowhere on the Web in 2012.
A self-taught illustrator with a tortuous past, Apollonia draws for her pleasure and that of her audience. She has published multiple art books and collaborated with Erika Lust and La Musardine, the renowned french erotic publishing house, and with magazines like Vogue, Dazed, Juxtapoz, Vice, Playboy and NAKID.
Her imagination is fuelled by pop culture as well as academic canons and her graphic influences range from Leonardo to Moebius – among many other European comics artists. She also finds inspiration in The Silver Spoon. A longtime resident of the Old Continent, Apollonia divides her time between the tables in her kitchen and her studio.
