After a successful start with 13 valid entries in january ApoContest takes its next round ...

Tiling is essential in Apophysis but there are several ways to achieve beautiful tiles. This months contest covers hyperbolic tilings.

Zueuk has created some "hypertile"-variations for Apophysis: Get them here or there!

And guagapunyaimel has written a tutorial concerning this issue:

Hypertile Uncovered With 3D by guagapunyaimel

But I encourage you not just to tweak the tutorial's examples but to develop your own style for example by linking the hyperbolic tile to another transform!

However there's only one demand and one prohibition this month:

:bulletgreen: hypertile, hypertile1 or hypertile2 (respectively the matching 3D version) has to be used so that it (or they) obviously forms some visible part of the shape of your fractal.

:bulletred: poincare3D is not allowed to be used.

In addition to it there aren't any other limits. So you can go 2D or 3D, use 3 xforms or 99 and so on ...

Deadline is the 28th of February at 12:00 p.m. (IDLW)

Don't forget to upload your image in the fitting folder!!

And note that some guidelines have changed!

If there's any question or problem please send me a note! :-)

Have fun! Yours FractalDesire

Very nice choice for a challenge - even if I already chose hypertile as "background" for my January submission - must get my hands on the 3d variants this time :D
