Band Geek Meme

I bring you secondhand band knowledge collected through being a little sister/official unofficial band minion. Apparently I'm very good at holding stuff.

1) Technically I'm not even in color guard as of June 26th. But come Tuesday, I'll be attending my first practice. I'm very nervous.
2) Referred to as "Award-winning sexamaphone play Joey Curti". He's a group leader now. He drives a truck.
3) The bibbers make me think of cranberry farmers. Which is why I secretly giggle when people are walking around without their jackets on.
4) It's true. I don't know what kind of socks guard wears. They haven't told me.
5) Don't ask.
6) It's true. Our drummers (save for the one guy in Dani's (Dani having been an amazing sousaphone/tuba, and being oh-so-incredibly-awesome) group, which I was in) were caught smoking marijuana at Great America. They also trashed the bus and pissed off the driver, who spent two hours cleaning it for us. I wasn't riding the bus, since I wasn't part of the band then. And it wasn't marching season, so even if I was in the guard then, I still couldn't have ridden it.
7) Everybody loves it when the band plays Will You Be My Girl. They really do.
8) It is. My sister told me once that she found a little red bug in her music folder (which I can't draw well), and promptly freaked the hell out. She's funny like that.
9) I'm not just saying that. Everyone hates him. He can't play decently, he's not amusing at all, and he thinks he's the best. I promised my sister I'd hit him with a flag given the opportunity.
10) Although that's speculation on my part. I haven't had to march yet.
