Liberation (by clecota) [forum] [link] [BETTER link]-from PokeCommunity. o.o Team Rocket's taken over Kanto. o3o yeah, those losers actually succeeded ... o_o and are ruling Kanto with an iron fist. o.o it all seems really interesting. the starters are unique (Scyther, Chansey, and Absol), there's plot stuffs that hasn't been done before (surprisingly), and the difficulty is brutal. -_- there's one thing very irritating about this hack, though. there's no bugs. and by that, i mean the type. the creator seriously thinks they're useless and wiped out the Bug Type entirely, making them all Grass ... which makes no sense whatsoever. o3o;; what the fuck, man?!
Light Platinum (by WesleyFG. use a Ruby ROM) [forum] [link] [website] (GAME LINK BELOW)-from PokeCommunity. a hack in a new world (the Zhery region). o_o the starters are the Kanto Starters, there's a new team with a stupid name (Team Steam), there's a World Championship at the end (in case it's wondered, Red is not the champ, he's just a contestant, it's Ash. ._.;; he's a joke of a final boss, though), and there's plenty of Sinnoh and Unova pokes added. o_o it ain't a perfect hack, though.
some parts are really bugged (in my first run, i got trapped in the 6th gym. don't save in it ...), some pokes were not edited right (it's possible for a female Electabuzz to become a male Electivire), o3o;; and the plot's downright absurd. it doesn't even start to make sense til later in (i'd say Team Steam's whole deal, but spoilers ... and you can't cross out or make words tiny anymore). o_o why do most of these original evil teams have really stupid ideals? -3- i blame Band Ambar (Quartz. more on that in part 1.8)Note: it has to be a specific Ruby ROM to work ... but i lost the link and im too lazy to look for another one. o3o so just have my working game. it's easier than finding the specific ROM
Liquid Crystal (by Linkandzelda. use an FR ROM) [forum] [website]-from PokeCommunity. o_o i didn't want to put this one up since it was incomplete (9/14/20. i haven't checked since). however, if you just want to play a 3rd gen Crystal, then it's fully completed. o.o it's pretty good. the visuals, the random weather (sometimes when you're outside, the weather can just be whatever), it's great ... or i would say it's great if it weren't for the extra things put in. ._. friggin Team Static and random plot twists and shit (o.o im all for random, o3o Snakewood's one of my favorite hacks, ._. but it just wasn't done right here), it almost ruins the entire hack ... o_o oh, and you'll have to beat the league twice (another time after the Kanto badges) before you can fight Red
Magma Ruby 202 (by SinisterHoodedFigure) [forum] [link]-from PokeCommunity. a 202 hack. o_o lot of 386 hacks where you can find them all, but this is Ruby. it was impossible to get them all until the advent of FR/LG ... so yeah, just the 202 in the Hoenn dex. o3o anyhow, there's a variety of changes including a day and night system, rest stops etc. ... ._. it's also pretty friggin tough
My Ass Version (by Lucas Urso and Bobby) [original blogspot with dead links] [a direct link i provided since every other fucking link is dead] -an odd and more "mature" hack with a bunch of random stuff in it. o.o it's surprisingly advanced for what it is, especially since it came around the late 00's or early 10's. there's 6 starters (all but Torchic, Squirtle, and Chikorita), edited sprites (Lt. Surge subtlely flips the bird), a mart where you can buy pokes (for 30k a piece), and the bike is a car (Topaz also did this, but it sucks). oh, and if you pick the girl, you glitch on stuff and you have to imagine her having a strap-on since you're treated like a dude all throughout. there's also a friggin butcher shop where you could send any poke to die for a lousy 800 pokebucks, regardless of species. o3o also, there's a Teenage Mutant Ninja Squirtle and Blaine is a rapper, yo.

Naranja (by Serg!o. use a Ruby ROM) [forum with links and shit]-o.o an old hack from the long defunct whack-a-hack (or just wahack), an old Spanish poke hack forum. o_o i initially didn't want to put this up here since it'll never be completed (it's pretty much confirmed), but i might as well make some lives easier for those looking for it. anyway, it's a well known hack from long ago ... that features the Orange Isles. o3o so yeah. o_o and you can tell by the title and origin that it isn't in English.

OA Emerald (by gamercomix615) [forum] [link]-from PokeCommunity. it's basically Emerald ... o3o with a crapload of things added. the person making this was really just testing out their hacking abilities ... and there's quite a bit here. from optional starters (comes in patches) to megas. ._. some replaced pokes stats and movepools weren't changed, though o_o and some were edited poorly, like an Infernape with maxed out DEF and SP.ATK. o.o at least it only happened for a few extra pokes, like the Gible and Honedge lines.
-o_o there's also something else interesting about the hack. o.o an unused 2nd gen design called Peritop was implemented. Fighting/Flying was used for it and it was granted Huge Power for a 2nd ability. here's a dex entry; "Until it was recently seen in the Johto region, this spinning Pokemon has been thought to be instinct and had only been seen in drawings on papyrus found in caves" (im aware that it's supposed to be extinct and not instinct, im just putting in exactly what was in the dex entry) ....... ._. never actually seen a legit unused design in a hack before (at time of writing; 3/9/16). o3o to Nuzlockers, Route 113's your earliest chance. o_o don't believe this thing's a real unused design? here, have a picture someone drew with a link to actual proof that it's a real unused design
Onyx Blue Version (by Zatarion) [forum place with everything]-a Sapphire hack ... with a gorgeous (and fucked up) looking Hoenn. i don't know what this guy did or how he expanded everything or what he smoked to do this, but damn ... o_o oh, yeah. the starters. o3o they're Mew, Celebi, and Jirachi. o.o well, just by all that, it's already pretty interesting. although, for the most record, it's just the same old Sapphire (especially story wise)
Order and Chaos (by EasyBakeStudios. use an FR ROM) [forum] [link to ips] [BETTER link to ips] [link to ups] [BETTER link to ups] [website ... that should probably be seen instead]-from PokeCommunity. a hack that was completed right from the start. o.o but unlike the works of Sllew/Sloo (Fuligin) or Crizzle (Outlaw, CAWPS, etc.), this one is comprised entirely of fakemons. there's finally another hack full of them to come out from PokeCommunity ... ._. although the last, and only, 2 (at time of writing; 6/9/16) to do that became some of the most infamous hacks of all time ... you know the ones im talking about ....... -_- Quartz and Topaz. there, i just saved you some remembering (for more info on them, just scroll down)

all right, now for the hack itself. o_o you venture off in the wartorn land of Mando, being a chosen one of sorts ... who is guaranteed to lose the 1st battle. don't worry, the weird events that happen after that are totally normal. o.o anyhow, you got a choice between a grass cat (Leocot), a fire scorpion (Skormurai), and a shark with limbs (Gillrunt). everything's pretty much original. new maps, new rivals, and definitely new pokes. o.o they're all fakes. every last one ... and some decent looking ones too. >_> well, mostly. o.o they're still better than Quartz and Topaz, that's for sure (i know i rip on them a lot, but it's for good reason, you'll see ...)-._. it ain't all sunshine and rainbows, though. at first sight, there's some things that could just make you go "uggghhh" or "whut ...". o3o;; it looks like there's a guy from friggin Halo here. and the legendaries are incredibly unoriginal. the whole yin and yang thing's already been done. and the legends, Chaosotra and Orderana, are very literally just recolors of each other. >_> there's also the added Clown and Space types (the former beats Ghost, Dark, and Fighting, while getting its ass handed to it by Poison and Psychic. the latter? Grass, Electric, Fighting ... Project Spheal (by Christos. use an FR ROM) [forum] [link] [BETTER link]-from PokeCommunity. o.o from the creator of Liquid Ocean (a well known hack from 2006 ... -_- which was incomplete when i found the forum for it) comes this interesting 2014 April Fools joke hack ... which is actually a fairly interesting one. the whole thing's a series of puzzles that should take about 30 minutes (give or take). o3o and you might want to use save states for this one. -_- especially for the nearly impossible super boss (last one has Wonder Guard. there's an HM for Rock Smash somewhere in the tower, that's how you bypass that)
Psychic Adventures (XXX) (by EViLGRiN) [DEAD forum] [link] [a link where you don't need to demand some damn access] (3.5)-from PokeCommunity, but was redacted for obvious reasons. it's basically Fire Red, except that your starter can be a Drowzee and you can hypnotize girls to do your bidding (well, just some more notable trainers. also Daisy). o3o and yes, it's that kind of hypnosis. full saimin shenanigans, XXX is in the title for a reason. o_o apart from that, it's really nothing special. it's just Fire Red with something extra
