meet Mia Phira, an 18 year old bubbly airhead who's too ditzy to live. she likes singing, dancing, eating delicious food (you can see where it all goes) and generally enjoying life, but she's naive about plenty of things and can be fooled quite easily. o3o for one thing, it's possible to trick her into wearing a sling bikini or a micro bikini in public. o_o despite how outrageous her body is, she doesn't realize just how lovely she is. o.o with her mild to spicy Torchic named Popcorn, a brat named Kaiden, and his even worse Mudkip named Bubbles, Mia would venture throughout Hoenn, just enjoying herself

this would ultimately never be. o.o i drew some more pics, including her initial team. we even documented our runs in the same Google Docs thing. o_o but a page was never made. the collaborator just lost interest. ._.;; she's incredibly unreliable ... o.o though i wonder if im actually the problem. i mean, look at my track record, it's craptastic. with this, that makes 4 failed duolockes ... and the other 2 still haven't even started their comics. ._. it's a real confidence killer, especially for someone who already has very little to begin with ...

there's a lot of old concepts and history in this, so this'll be quite the history/trivia session ...

o_o Popcorn ... was gonna be the starter for the character for my first failed duolocke, Aaron Yukimura. that Ralts, Masamune, would've also been added. same for a Wurmple named Debbie, but she was never encountered again

the concept for an OR/AS duolocke existed a little longer than the concept of a Platinum duolocke, and that existed for 2 years. it just didn't start since a rival locke was happening with another friend and i didn't want to buy another copy or wipe out my AS file. even tried and failed to set up Homebrew (-_- anyone who says it's easy to set up is an asshole). but in case the rival locke would be cancelled (it eventually did), a bastardization of May was hastily doodled up and dubbed either Anne (an actual placeholder name. the other one is Orlando) or Mayu (i just added a U at the end of May). this would eventually be Mia

around the time Nene's run started and eventually failed, Mia's design would be used for this group project for an X/Y run and was gonna be a rival (the big group of friends were being replaced. guess who she was replacing ... o3o that's right, Tierno), but that ultimately failed in the end since the group ... is generally awful with doing group projects. "Anne" ultimately didn't do a lot. o3o had a neat redesign, though. even got her current eyes from it

Cornchip was derived from a cancelled rival locke. it was never gonna get a comic, it was just something fun i was doing with my friend til he lost his OR copy and canned it

a Goldeen named Deirdre was also always an existing concept. randomly named one i had in Black that. i just felt like recycling that too after remembering one can be obtained relatively early

many things were derived from May. this includes that swimsuit (have a scene that gave plenty of kids their first crush www.youtube.com/watch?v=emluD7… ). made it more aqua instead of green
