The Collab Protags V2

o.o made in reference to this pic ... o3o;; it was initially gonna be in the same style, and it had already been drawn ... more than a year ago, actually. o_o then i thought for all the info typed (also over a year ago), accurate fullbodies akin to this group pic would've been better ... o3o so many, many months later, i got off my ass and did this in under a day

i've started so many friggin duolockes over time that even i began to lose track, o3o;; so i compiled those that i made and used for em so ... well, i can keep track. o_o turns out just 2 newbies had joined since the last pic. feels like more, though ...

o3o;; this is also kind of a big gallery of failure for me ... as the mass majority of these runs were cancelled, with all of them (except for Azalea's run, Intertwined Myths) not even getting a single page out. ._. makes me wonder if im the problem, it wouldn't surprise me ....... o.o well, except for the ones started by Derrito, the collaborator for Nene, Mia, and Loki's runs. o3o;; they were all started by impulse and the former 2 were dead on arrival purely because she lost interest. there could've been another one for SuMo, but she wanted full control there and it died before anything could be more properly discussed. o_o it's a miracle that Loki's run didn't get cancelled yet ... watch as i edit this in several weeks or months stating otherwise

i shouldn't do some dossiers on them, these aren't full bodies and the ones with failed runs very likely won't be used again, o3o;; but i feel bad for em for that last fact. ._. hell, i feel bad to the point of doing anniversary pics for more recent ones. it's fine, though. with my failing memory, i need some reminders anyway

he's the first tan protag i made, in general
his step-brother, Mattais "Matt" Yukimura, never got designed. he was described as having pink hair and fair skin, though ...

the collaborator was an old friend who named himself for Kaminko Aide Chobin from XD: Gale of Darkness. o_o Chobin disappeared some time shortly after the release of OR/AS and this would never come to fruition

Info: a calm guy enamored by the sea. with his adopted younger brother Matt, they'd venture off throughout the land of Hoenn. it'd be a bit awkward though ... especially since he acquired a phobia of Bug types during a trip to Johto 2 years prior to this journey

so i removed the hat and made her tan and plump

a Zeta in the form of Rho was also made. Azalea was ultimately chosen

she's the only other protag who's a Breaker and the only Breaker protag who can control elements. in her case, she's a Wind Breaker (lol) with Water as her secondary
she's also the only true superhuman among these 7
as well as the only one whose story got a few pages out
and the only one to eventually become romantically involved with her partner
having been mostly raised by the pokeball aficionado Kurt (mom went to be the champ of Vesryn. o3o trainer parents, everybody), her knowledge on pokeballs is downright absurd
she's the first tan female protag i made

the collaborator's a good friend, Jem who would recycle the character she used in an original series, Happy Trigger (i'd send a link, but i can't find one)

Info: an Azalea Town native ... who's the daughter of the Vesryn champion, Aria (well, she's her step-mom, but yeah). Azalea's a nice, relaxed, and easygoing girl who tends to go with the flow. she's also playful and mischievous (and kinda flirty, blame Kurt's granddaughter), with an adventurous side to her as well. she also likes making puns every now and then. o3o;; so yeah, an interesting girl to be around. o.o she and her mom lived peacefully in Nyasa Town ... until Team Asshol-err Asgard blew up the place. since then, she's been traveling with a punk named Chazz who was raised from the dead ... and ended up harboring feelings for him

her entire concept was derived from the word "mucus". porn and mucus were randomly said as prompts and weren't meant to be taken seriously ... o3o so of course i took it like that. made a girl with hair that resembles boogers as a result
hell, even her name was derived from that. Nene was taken from what Google Translate thinks is mucus (nen'eko) and Poruno is how porn would sound in engrish
she then got an ensemble derived from Dawn's Platinum outfit ... though the coat was turned blue since she would've resembled Clare from Gumball if it stayed red
this run would've featured a teenage Guzma as a protag. the idea would eventually be recycled into a possible "Guzlocke"
much like this run, that never had any hope of coming to fruition

Info: a hihikimori, or a shut-in. she's the textbook definition of a NEET, being a socially inept and generally inept loser in every regard. she's also a nerd and a pervert with a large dildo collection. being a victim of bullying (having naturally booger colored hair will do that. assholes ...), she shut herself away from the world ... but because her bitch of a mom is so ashamed of her, she kicked her out and forced her to share a starter with some punk from juvie. the starter would ultimately side with him and many more things would go wrong with her life after ...

Craig's a gourmand; a food lover
he's also someone you should never go out to dinner with, your bill will be absurd
despite being able to cause instant death courtesy of his disturbing knowledge on pressure points and blazingly quick hands, Craig is not considered a superhuman of any kind
an imagined voice actor for him would be Alessandro Juliani, the dub voice for L from Death Note (here's some clips)

the collaborator's another good friend, Stigs ... o.o who's more of a writer than an artist, so i have no idea how this'll go if we ever get to it

Info: an intelligent stoic guy who hails from Five Island. he's knowledgeable on numerous things, like architecture, latin, and even pressure points. as such, he's a godly masseuse ... who could also cause instant death since he knows plenty about weak points. his hands move like lightning too. you'd think he'd be totally serious ... but this is a man who would join an evil cult just for free hotdogs. and nothing else. he's an amoral, greedy, money grubbing dumbass who has a stomach like a blackhole, prefers to break through walls instead of using doors, and can stay the stupidest shit with the straightest face. makes you wonder how the hell someone so smart could be so fucking stupid. his partner in crime, David Gray, wonders this frequently

but unlike the idiot artist, he has accurate skin, an accurate height and weight (at the time), and a bit more hair
this run was intended to be some kind of odd, 4 way run with Jem, Stigs, Archie and i, since we just impulsively dived into this. we had only just discovered this amazing open world Crystal, you see ...

o.o latter left our personal Discord server without a word and it just stopped being talked about after. ._. im the only one who brings up the run ...

Info: a dense pervert with a surprising amount of intelligence. Azul can be like a human pokedex ... but he'll likely also think about questionable things, like how a Pinsir could attempt oral sex. Azul, along with a cool tall girl named Beatrix, a soft boy named Ryan, and a colorful maniac named Sandy, would venture out through Johto, meeting some oddballs here and there ... including a guy who really likes pigs for some reason

it died out since the group had proven to be generally bad with group projects as a whole. this was no exception
Anne and Mayu were working names since they were derived from May. hell, Anne is literally an official placeholder name

Info: a bubbly airhead who's too ditzy to live. Mia likes singing, dancing, eating delicious food (you can see where it all goes) and generally enjoying life, but she's naive about plenty of things and can be fooled quite easily. o3o for one thing, it's possible to trick her into wearing a sling bikini or a micro bikini in public. o_o despite how outrageous her body is, she doesn't realize just how lovely she is. with a brat named Kaiden, she'd venture throughout Hoenn just enjoying herself

he's physically based on the male player character, Viol ... who's actually one of the vp-tans
so i swapped the red for blue and some green ... and gave him cerulean hair
some comparisons have been made to Steven Stone, even though his hair is more slate
he was once gonna be paired up with a stoner literally named Toki Baker
this is actually where he gets his full name from. Loki was a coincidence ... o3o so i just went all in with the rhyming and looked up a real last name for that
unfortunately, Toki would ultimately be scrapped just because the collaborator didn't like him ... and nothing else ... ._.;; which still baffles me
Loki is not native to Fochun, he's actually Kantonian. he only moved there since his parents found cheaper work there
and so his mother could freely use the N word without any judgement
surprising no one, this resulted in her getting a justified death
at one point, Loki dated Tumblrita (2nd gym leader, official art's difficult to find due to the sudden death of the wiki in early 2021)

Loki has a gambling problem. it's so bad that he actually got banned from the Celadon Game Corner ...
though that's really because he suplexed the slot machine he used

Info: an unlucky loser. really, that's what describes him best. o.o yeah, he has good looks and a fair amount of knowledge, o3o;; but life has repeatedly put him down. the worst case was getting cancelled by his ex in high school for no legit reason. it was so bad that it resulted in him being denied by every university in the region (and the Ebin Isles) and leaving him just bumming around in the Veepier Town lab being an assistant's assistant ... so no one. no wonder he doesn't go by his real name. o.o though as fate would have it, he and ... ._. wait, who's this dumbass getting stuck with? what do you mean a replacement was never made?!
