Sonia's actual gramps is dead, that guy's long gone. but her gran eventually remarried to Bart. she's also married to Penn. people would overreact (polygamy and pokephilia and all that shit) ... if they didn't know her rep and how incredible she was at what she does. there's also an unofficial 3rd husband in the form of a Chewtle named Tortimer. Trip is the product of Penn and ol' Mags. he's a miracle since half breeds are generally ultra rare ... and most chicks don't really make kids at 57. this technically makes him Sonia's uncle ... despite her being 3 years older

*o.o oh, and look closely at Let's number. that's goroawase, or wordplay. o3o;; turns out all the gym leaders and challengers in the game have their numbers mean something. o_o except Leon (1 is self explanatory). o3o Milo's number, 831, didn't foreshadow a future (at the time) Direct, it's just yasai, or "vegetable". o_o the one i gave Let, 45, is shigo ... after death. it foreshadowed his passing. o3o;; he really did only exist to die ....... could've also just used 4 since that's a cursed number that straight up means death. it's to Japan what 13 is to most of the world; bad luck

*o3o i considered adding Porygon-Z as one of the pissed pokes, but they're illegal in Galar. o3o so another that was heavily reliant on Z-Moves, Kommo-o, was added instead. o3o;; and the removal of megas hurt plenty, but none more than Mawile

* i can't take full credit for the Mega and Z-Move explanation, o.o that was almost entirely Kevin (CobaltClaw19). the only thing that was changed was the biscuit scene. o3o;; it was originally gonna be the queen's biscuits, but we never saw a queen. <_<;; there is, however, a royal family ... and those douchebags with the outrageous hairdos, Sordward and Shielbert, are royalty, sooo ...

*o3o;; yeeeah, ol' Mags has done time. plenty of times. o.o usually gets out by bribery via sex. and yeah, she formed a prison gang more than once. o.o in fact, the first iteration of Team Skull was actually a prison gang made by her. o3o they got the name from skull fucking, you see. obviously, that wasn't kept. once she went back home, ideals changed and shit ... o3o;; and they got dumber

*o3o DLC stuffs before the DLC comes (at time of writing, just 2 days left). i had always considered including them somehow since, well, this actually does happen as soon as Wedgehurst. o.o also contemplated the Galarian Slowpoke being captured, but i decided not to go for it. it was already implied that Klara and Avery could have one of their own, o3o;; and it was pretty much confirmed from the most recent trailer (at time of writing), o.o so yeah. Tsumasaki stays with Avery. eh, it's fine, those evo items aren't even out and there's still no Galarian Slowking (at time of writing)

* the thing that Pilju mentioned, CubeTech Industries, has always been a thing in this world. despite how super convenient their storage cubes are, they've always been a relatively small company. well it looks like they finally got a bit more recognition over the years since they helped with the creation of the Pokemon Box Link. <_<;; about time, really. they have million dollar ideas, dammit! who wouldn't want to be able to store all their goods in a tiny cube? makes moving to a new apartment a cinch
