So my life has been a whirlwind of ridiculousness over the last month, and it's probably going to be just as crazy until early December rolls around. For one thing, I started my student teaching--which is cool, except that I don't get paid for it. That's right, I do all the work of a teacher and get NONE OF THE MONEY and it's totally legal because I'm technically a "student." HAH! On the plus side, come December, I should have my Master's of Education, and I can find a real, salaried job with things like BENEFITS!
I also moved in with my boyfriend of over a year (!!!) and have been trying to settle in. The house is still full
For anyone who has been following my life and is interested...I will be starting student teaching in about a month's time! Essentially, this means I get to spend an entire semester working as a teacher (plus doing schoolwork) without getting paid a cent, and without being able to hold down a job at all! YAY...*dies*
On the plus side, it means I am that much closer to graduation! And I will also be moving out of my parents' house at the end of August in order to move in with my wonderful boyfriend of just over a year. It's definitely going to be a tumultuous time, but after the storm, I will actually be able to start looking for real, sal
You know what's hard? Breaking up with someone you've loved for four and a half years because the distance is too much to handle.
Yes, it was the right decision for both of us, and it was made mutually. But it still hurts.
