Yo, I'm Anxet.
It's been a while since I updated this page (in any way :/) or responded to anyone, so first of all - I'm alive
So first of all, about 4 years ago I started drawing seriously and making mlp vectors for this page, and as a result got really involved with the mlp art community and in overall - the dA community. As you can tell - that time has passed, but I'll always miss that period of my life, and I wated to thank you all for being a part of it (If you were around at that time
Anyway, before I get more into my situation with Art, I want to give a small update -
I FINISHED SCHOOL!! yuuuup, I'm free now, not to mention my finals went smoothly so I won't have to come back to them (hopefully..), but other than that - I'm joining the IDF soon. And by soon, I mean tomorrow.
A few things have changed in my life, and as a result, I've decided I want to join a combat unit in the army. I'm not planning on explaining the details why, but I'll just say that I got into the unit that I wanted (Givati infantry brigade), and now before me are 32 tough months of being a soldier in the IDF, from which 8 months are just for training. Now you know.
Anyway, now I want to talk about art - I'm stuck. What do I mean by stuck? From one side it's hard for me to really put work into my drawing - I know exactly how to improve, practise, how to approach new things, how to examine art and learn from others, but I just don't enjoy it. I don't enjoy the proccess of developing as an artist. But from the other side - I LOVE ART. Seeing a good drawing or a cool design can literally make my day. And I also enjoy drawing what I can - I doodle absolutely everywhere, I always have pencils on my table and I sketch what's in my head on everything that drawable.
Basically, most of my art now is small sketches, doodles and stuff like that. Every time I try to make a drawing it ends up pretty crappy because I don't practise much. So to sum everything up - I lost the passion for drawing (because if I had it, I'd have at least some motivation to put effort into improving), but as someone who's drawing his entire life, and for the past 4 years (On and off) really tried to become a better artist, drawing is still a part of me, and I can't just "move on".
But enough about my trouble, Let me just tell you what's happening with Anxet - With the limited time I'll have in the army (In basic training there's one hour a day in which you can do whatever you want, including shower, eating snacks or calling fam or yo homies), I'll try to spend like 5-10 minutes a day/two days to sketch something while I talk with my friends or listen to music, and if I'll have something nice I'll upload it here.
From this week I'll try to get back in the community here, and hopefully that'll motivate me to draw more - even those little things.
In other news - I haven't watched MLP since the start of season 4, so that's kinda.. meh. I'm also 18 now (so hit me up girls
I'm also going to be a soldier, so that's something you can brag about to you friends), and as always, thanks for all the favs and comments. They still make me smile
Sorry for the wall of text, but it's been a while (over a year I believe), and I'll definately won't have time to post much during army.
