ive been feeling the need to make these move. im pretty sure i could do it digitally. though they would suffer the drawbacks video, needing a screen to make it work. so ive been trying to come up with a static way to make them at least appear to move. havent found anything acceptable yet. i fear what i want to do may be impossible. im still gonna try. maybe ill come up with something..

I agree with all comments here. Very nice piece. It looks like those old 60s sci-fi/pulp fiction book covers.

Maybe one area of improvement is the front left corner. The red area, in comparison to the rest of the picture, seems overly outlined. Just a couple of "hard" (defined) edges. That being said for a planetscape it works like this because it gives the impression of a rock.

Again very nice work.

thats where i saw it as less than perfect. it isnt allover cohesive. youre right about the bottom parts there. they are more thick and opaque than the rest of the piece. it doesnt ruin it but it doesnt complete it either. i try not to impose my will too much so i have to take some of what the paint gives me. thanks...

the black with the bright warm colors really pulls this one off. i dont think ill claim perfection on it. maybe a 9 out of 10. i want to keep thinking that there is some ideal image out there something i cant even visualize. some mythical perfection i can chase yet never catch. but itll keep me looking for it...

I suppose you're right! Perfection is never really achieved, there is always some way to improve, change, alter, whatever and no artist that I know is ever totally and completely happy with their work. Which is how it should be, I guess. Keeps us from stagnating! But, this one is utterly beautiful! And don't argue!!!

i just have an ability to pick at little things in my works. things most ppl dont even notice. we are our own worse critics. i discard pieces as failures or just not good enough that many ppl would be more than proud of. i wont argue, for it is an impressive piece....
