Another fantastic piece! I wish you had a YouTube channel. It would be awesome to watch this come together. I think sometimes watching art being made is alot of fun.
you aren't the first to want to see it happen. im not against the idea. though I fear it might give away some of my secrets. and make it look too easy. a clean abstract like this one happens quick. from the time I lay the canvas down to putting it aside to dry it takes only 10 or 15 minutes. it is amazing to see it take shape almost instantly.
I think that if you did some shots of specific parts of the paint swirling and just "doing their thing" would be cool. It could be zoomed in tightly on a piece. I know exactly what you mean though. I was a competitor in a live "Art Battle" and threw a GoPro on for the event just to see what would happen (no sure if I would ever publish the video for same reasons) and so it turns out I loved it. I encourage you do start recording your work, its immensely helpful to learn what you do, when you do it, and where you need to not screw yourself up! lol. Seriously, it has helped me alot, in learning how I can improve as an artist. Its like football players watching "tape" of their plays to study the opponents and themselves. Fun too. Here's my video: youtu.be/l7VIpza-zm0?list=UU1S…
that video was cool. you ruled over the figurative painters. I saw fear in their eyes when they looked at how you were moving. I also got to crawl into your head a little. those darn straight edges of the canvas are troublesome. I envision myself being there, first id kick the easel over and put the canvas on the floor. plenty of curious looks. sit on the floor drop paint and pull out a straw. more looks. if it failed, I storm off and have a meltdown. if it worked I might walk around watching the others finish. im closer to doing it now. I could crawl into my own head, maybe figure out what the heck im doing.
