The Boob Question

Wed Mar 9, 2005, 6:37 PM
How many guilt obsessed neo-cons does it take to screw in a light bulb....or to screw up a society?

I have many hot buttons on my emotional control panel....my biggest one is BLIND CONFORMITY. Included under that heading are the puritanical fear of human nudity and the censorship of such. Let me explain to you how brainwashing works......this comes from personal experience by the way.
OK...picture this. A baby is born.....the first thing he sees is a woman's vagina.....next is his mother's breast. His little computer starts to upload information.....one of the first pieces of data is that the big round warm globe with a round protruding button is a good thing. It dispenses a life sustaining warm liquid and creates a great cozy sense of security. Within three or four years this little guy starts to sense a double standard. Because now this natural association with human skin is being challenged with the opposite ideas. It has now been labeled: wrong, evil, dirty (and best of all), obscene. So here it starts......based on an idea that there was a god who labeled nudity, certain body parts, vaginas, breasts, penises and anuses as evil accessories of his (so called) perfect creation. So now, we all get to carry around in our little heads the guilt associated with the strongest human appetite. Even better than that....its use as a symbol in free artistic expression now becomes debatable by those who feel a responsibility to shelter children from its evil influence.
The recent Janet Jackson incident, which I will call "Boobgate", threatened the very moral fabric of this countries fragile sensibilities. Another very strange brainwashing that seems to have completely permeated this God fearing modern society is how the word morality is only applied to a sexual connotation....rarely to honesty, integrity, humility and respect for others. Psychologists have discovered that we are only obsessed by what we can't stop thinking about. Therefore, just like beauty....obscenity is in the eye of the beholder......but first it's in the mind of the beholder. Cheers to all.

Back in 2004 you gave me some wonderful tips on drawing and looking at things in general. I've kept them on a sheet in my desk ever since. I was cleaning up and came back across them. 5 Years later, they still show your keen mind and aesthetic awareness. Thanks again.

How did I know... when I stumbled upon a gorgeous raku... that it would be blue fox gallery. So glad to see you here. Maybe I knew and forgot... either way I will not forget now.
I vow to someday possess a BFG piece...

love your owl mask. i'm doing a bit of research on native american masks, shaman masks and all that, i'm finding it a bit hard finding information on the masks and what the indians believed, you don't happen to know a website do you? just the quote on the owl mask, sounded like you knew a bit!

by the way, your work is lovely, i expesially like your egyptian heiroglyph mug!
keep up the good work
