The Sky opens

A human male climbs frantically to a hidden location on a botanically and nature overgrown future Earth as the ominous devices arrive again to take us.

Just playing around with some ideas - quite a dark vision for me I guess, but I quite like it.

I used some shots of New York as ref etc.
