We're not quite there yet in Scotland. It's still Hogmanay, but Happy New Year when it comes to you & all the best for 2019!
Thanks also for your continued support. The arts community truly is something special to apart of. I can't believe it'll be 10 years ago next year (tomorrow ) that I started teaching myself art again after having almost been away from it for a decade, although that's a polite way of putting it. I quit art for 10 years & now been happily creating art for 10 years. I'm happy that I gave myself another chance at reconnecting with my creative side back then, in 2009. Would I still have made the decision to learn how to draw and paint again had I knew back then how much work would be involved to get this far? Aye! We all quit at some things or many things in life. It's part in parcel of life, so give yourself a chance or many. Don't give up on yourself, though, and never let anyone take what you're passionate about away from you! That includes yourself lol Self-sabotage is a wonderful mind fuck.
I checked my New Years Resolutions from last year. I completed 2 of those resolutions, but not in the way I thought I would.
1. Health! Yup, back into powerlifting and general training every 2nd day or 3-4 times per week, although there were a few spells, months even, when I stopped :/ For deadlifts, I'm up to 4 sets of 2 reps at 150 kg
2. Art- I did complete the character illustration tutorial, but at the end of the year, rather than at the start. Manga comic? The script is 80% done. Rescheduling it for October 2019.
My New Years Resolution for this year is very simple- take each day as it comes with a focus on consistency in whatever it is I'm doing. Usually, when I plan too far ahead, I become overwhelmed when goals I set don't happen the way I hoped they might.
If you do create New Years Resolutions for yourself, fill me in on what they are! I'd like to hear from you guys.
Also, a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me on gumroador cubebrush so far! I'm humbled by your support and the feedback I've received so far. Thanks, guys! I have idea's for other paintings I'd like to record. I'm working on something just now in fact, but I'd also love to hear what your thoughts are either about The Queen's Guard tutorial or anything you'd like to see me handle or show my process for creating in future. Feel free to drop me an email at ADevineArt@gmail.com
