Martian Sandlife

An evolution step further from "Tinfoil vs. Martian Sandworms" [link] . More elements, and this time I've tried to work in higher color and contrast. Mars is supposed to be more of a red-brown-pale planet, but today I liked the more colorful version.

I love the colors...they make it look like photos from Mars!

Thanks, that was what I tried to achieve. Good to know that I succeeded :D

Interesting work! I've always been curious about how to make things like this. Love it.

Thanks (:

It's really just sand, some small rocks and tinfoil. The photo was edited slightly to enhance the red, matching the red sky and sand of mars.
such an awesome whimsical approach, this piece makes me smile.

It's good to make people smile (:

I'm still practicing. Tinfoil bending and folding isn't as easy as I had expected, but it's a material I like to work with.
i was wondering how you kept some of them so smooth, a sculpters hands i guess?

The ones in the back are a bit out of focus that helps a lot to hide the wrinkles ;) It's really quite hard to keep the foil all smooth ... I've recently acquired some foil of a tougher quality, that should be easier to handle, but I haven't tried it yet. A bit of practice sure helps too.

I still dream about making a human outpost on mars just from tinfoil :D
i am officially vounteering. when do we leave.
