One of the toughest challenges facing designers these days is time.
I've been working now, in my design job, for the same company for ten years. When it first began, the internet age was just starting to bloom, and designing for it was an exciting adventure of trial and error, challenge and usability. As the years have passed - sadly the company i work for has grown, and with it their focus has shifted away from the more creative side of the web, to a more stable and secure form of client, but with it has come a staid, boring and steady approach to web design.
And i've been sitting here in work for the last few days with not much on, it see
Glad you liked the spoof Radio Times cover - I loved the Frank Bellamy originals. I first saw them when I was knee high to an ant and I remember thinking that I'd love to do something like that one day. ALSO - I've been meaning to drop you a line to say thanks for recommending me to the AudioGo folks. I did the cover with the fourth Doc - another spoof weirdly enough- this time the cover of an old Geoff Love and his Orchestra Star Wars rip-off LP from the seventies. I'd posted it here, but someone re-posted it on Gallifreybase and the writer objected, so it's mia for the mo.
Ages ago I sent you an email about writing about you as my arts hero for my bronze arts awards, I still have it somewhere on my computer - just to say thank you for doing it even if it was 2 or 3 years ago now
I will! Have to try and remember where I put the scrap book, it was a while back. The staff were impressed that I got a response from an artist in the business; in the next level up your meant to interview people in your chosen industry but not for the bronze - got a bit ahead of myself . Im finally starting my silver arts award now, set myself the challenge of creating a mini comic which I haven't got very far with it yet...
