Not quite sure what to call this, so if anybody has a suggestion feel free to share it :).
[Update 9/12/14]: Thanks to :iconjessica-lorraine-z: I have a title :D! Thanks again for the many suggestions and inspiration :aww:. Apparently, going by this new title, this is going to be a story, I just don't know it yet XD.

Ok, to be honest, I'm not totally sure on what the meaning is for this deviation. Initially I did, but the more I worked on it the more I wasn't sure anymore, probably because it took forever to finish XD. Originally it was about how fate could be a combination a predetermined plan and the consequences of our choices. I wanted to show that even though the couple on the left are happily in love, they are not fated for each other. Meanwhile, a great distance away someone that is fated to be with the woman has nobody because of the choices he has made or choices others made that effected him. After a while though I kept seeing different possible perspectives on this piece I didn't know what my personal interpretation was anymore (of course taking forever to finish it was a part of it too).

My brother interpret this deviation as the woman on the left side and the guy on the right side were originally in a relationship, but because of certain choices that were made, they are no longer together even though they were fated to be together. Hence the tangled red string of fate representing the hardships they had together. On a side note it's been said that the red string of fate can be tangled but never broken.

Thanks to :iconsunnykusuri:, :iconflip-coin:, :iconmickey-way-win:, :iconcy-for-cypher:, :iconfaintsketches:, a few friends don't have a dA profile, and anybody else I missed for your input on this piece and inspiration :).

I would love to hear people's interpretations on this piece no matter how wild it is.

As always, enjoy :).

I just see a love triangle... one who loves someone that is already in love with someone else?

I'm not totally sure to be honest, but some of what I was thinking is in the description.

If two people are truly fated to be together, and have been together, I don't believe they will leave each other or fall in love with someone else. But I'm stating this only from my own personal experience. No hardship could stop that kind of fated love, in my opinion. When I look at this piece, I see a girl who is happily with her new partner, but the previous lover can't let go of the past relationship, even though the girl has moved on. I see this piece more as a representation of when someone can't let go of the past - they are locked in isolation and misery. I've seen that very thing happen numerous times. All of the keys are within that person to move on, and have new, better experiences, but they choose to stagnate and wallow. Thanks for sharing a thought-provoking piece!

Thank you for sharing your opinion :). Ah, you make valid points about not letting go of the past and what it can cause. I love hearing people's perspectives on my artwork :la:! Thanks . Yasvmw :D, glad it was thought provoking :).
