First piece of my AP Drawing & Painting Portfolio's Concentration section. The Concentration section asks us to use 12 pieces to explore a central theme, and to show personal and artistic growth.

This is a little blurb I originally wrote for my Concentration idea:

"This watercolor painting is part of a series that explores how modern society distances children from their innate connection and fascination with nature. It traces the influences of the natural versus the artificial in the main character’s youth as he loses awareness of the importance of nature in his life."
