I am an independent artist creating small format acrylic/oil still life paintings featuring industry recognised signature style mixed media borders. These border designs incorporate the use of metallic foils and semi precious stones, a technique which was first developed during the statewide pandemic lock downs of 2020/2021 and which is an unique identifying feature of my current arts practice.

I also create limited edition jewellery based on my still life paintings. I lovingly refer to my brooch creations as "Ann's Quirky Fruit Kilt Pin Brooches" and as we head into the Autumnal/Winter season here in Melbourne, they are available this year for the first time, in my Etsy store and if they speak to you, you are welcome to visit via the link in this widget.

As of 2026, I am no longer affliated with any art societies and am settling into my own creative schedule at my own pace within my studio. I have no sights set for exhibitions in the forseeable future, rather I am focussed on integrating back into my work as a solo creative practitioner which has been ongoing here since 1995. The studio space was initially set up as a spiritual healing practice until 2012, when it shifted into it's current form as my creative arts practice space.

Most recently I have also manifested my longish term aspirations to value add on my meditation mala collection, with a free upgrade of a handmade cloth bespoke butterfly bag, perfect for storing the mala between uses. I first learned how to use a sewing machine in Grade 6, so it is marvellous to be back at it again! Usually these bags feature pre-washed calico on one side and a public domain vintage style fabric on the other. They may have either nazar or bone beads to accent the drawstrings to make it easier to grab them and open the bag, or have randomly placed hand sewn seed of life accents. There are also knotted features on the drawstring to help keep the bag closed and the drawstrings manageable when storing the mala!!
