Active nsfw anthro character modeler and 3d generalist. Used to make models for SFM, currently studying advanced Blender-Fu in a handful of small discord communities. Generally pretty chill and friendly, but I occasionally have some reclusive tendencies due to social anxiety, so apologies if I don't always respond right away.
All models I release are under Creative Commons license CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0, with some allowances for commercial use. Generally, as long as the models or derivative models aren't being sold or paywalled, you can use them for whatever you'd like.

The problem with ditching the home is that this is as optimal of a situation as I'm going to get. House is paid off, small, and relatively easy to manage. And if I sell, more than likely that's the last opportunity I get to own one for myself. So I owe it to myself to at least try and see if I can manage it without the awkward rental arrangement. And this won't be the only way I'm trying to bump up my income, so it's not like this is an all in strategy.
As for figuring out pricing, that's all going to depend on me being able to deliver consistent quality character models with a smart, streamlined workflow. If I'm inconsistent on quality or get bogged down in minor tweaks, then given the number of other people undercharging I have no ability to move that pricing needle. But if I can assemble a pipeline that can put out 3 or 4 models at a quick clip that feel good to work with, and I use that to demo commission offerings and prices, then I have much more leverage to charge professional commission rates.
So yeah, it's going to be all about building and demonstrating a stable pipeline for now. I think I have a strong start on figuring that out with what I learned building Shani from the ground up, so if I can improve the consistent output and keep myself on task for the next year, I might pull it off ![]()
Appreciate the kind words and advice! Will do my best 💪
Worst case scenario, selling the house isn't the end of the world. If that were to happen, I think I'd feel better about it after an honest attempt at making it work with the side hustle strategy. Also, It's not the first time I've worked in the field and I have talented co-conspirators that can help me figure out some of the rough parts. As long as I can keep up a good pace and focus, I think I have a shot.
She's an OC from the furry community who's owner is very permissive about letting people work with her. She's not actually from any IP or show, but she's been around for quite a long time and has had a few waves of artwork over the years.
