yet another sterling piece of artwork. im constantly impressed by your results my friend... its like looking into another world, somehow overlaid with our own, as though reality were fracturing and reality became a little surreal.
especially the ones with influences of rainbow colours are my fave, as im sure you know by now... but of course all of your works encompass feelings and draw out emotions from the viewer of a time or place that meant something to them.

why am i having a de ja vu? you painted something similar? i do remember dreaming this when mom died, yellow house, valley, streams, trees, mountains like that, even a zig zag path to house, and a little front structure to building, you must have painted exactly this before, because i recall both dream and this painting, and even commenting on it, your art is magic, it is playing tricks of de ja vu on my mind now, but this is a dream and a painting i've seen before... yes this is that painting... and my dream... my de ja vu is's just a very strange feeling to recall both dream, and painting that resembled dream, pretty exactly...

This piece shows a delicate and sophisticated palette. While the image has a fair range of intense and vibrant colours, the composition as a whole is dominated by earthy greens. The greatest colour intensity is visible in the sky; quite clearly seen with the powerful blues contrasting against the pastel reds and yellows.

In most paintings, having such a strong colour profile, but then including the somewhat duller greens in the grass, and especially the trees which match the sky in a duller palette, would have a bland effect; the sky makes the ground look boring, which in turn ruins the appeal of the sky.

This image is clearly an exception, the judicious inclusion of many accents: Seen as a sort of "Sparkle" in the composition, the black accents in the foreground, the white of the water, Etc. adds a level of interest to the image, and helps make the greens look stronger (They also reflect the stars of the sky, adding to the harmony and unity of your painting).

I feel that the house, being the only true figure in the image, would have benefited from a slightly higher degree of contrast (Although it clearly needs to set into the background somewhat, so that the harmony and balance of your composition isn't thrown off). I would recommend adding some mottling to the house: adding a few yellow-green highlights that reflect the yellow clouds, and blue green shadow that reflect the night sky would help add variety, while maintaining and reinforcing the relationship between the sky and ground.

It's this relationship between sky and ground that indirectly makes the overall composition have a dreamlike quality, where the two aren't distinctly separate, even if they have clear boundaries that separate them. So I feel that strengthening this relationship is quite important.
