This is my Sailor Moon Tribute art... in celebration of the new Sailor Moon Crystal coming in July. There's nothing better than reliving your childhood again, but with a twist since this time around it will be closer to the manga story!!! AND Happy early birthday to our dear Usagi-Chan (June 30)
I don't know what kind of title I should give this. I am KIND of leaning towards the manga more in this piece, but with some anime stuff too.
I just know Usagi posses the past, present, and future in her. Bore from her mother, Queen Serenity, she becomes Princess Serenity. Later, after marrying Prince Endymion in the 30th century, she becomes Neo-Queen Serenity, with Small Lady as her child. As a soldier, she has her basic form, then achieves the super, then eternal. According to the manga, predicted by The Amazon Quartets, her future form is Sailor Cosmos. Though Sailor Cosmos is practically Chibi Chibi. A lot of mystery behind Sailor Cosmos .. especially since in the anime version, it's a whole different thing (Chibichibi->Cosmos->Galaxia's Star seed). I also included her different weapons! Queen Serenity, of course has the Moon Stick and Moon Rod.
Now in case you are wondering who is the person on the top right corner.. She is Guardian Cosmos from the manga. She does not appear in the anime version. If you haven't read the manga version of Sailor Moon... you should. It's different and quite interesting, especially the differences between that and the anime version. It will help give you a general idea of what may come in the new Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal this coming July
This is done traditionally with watercolor and ink, done on 9x12 arches hot press paper.
