THE SECOND COMING
Political smut overcasts the sky
the dust bowl
rushing across the plains
while the white pines
whip with the wind—
a pathetic fallacy.
Lobbyists hustle Washington,
full of passionate intensity,
tiptoeing into negative capability,
the futility quivering.
The world’s a troll that’s turned to stone.
The poem’s a lie,
a Disco Word Orgy
that moons the sky
now kingdom come.
Read me! Read me!
it cries. Stanzas
stack up pig pile
like skyscrapers
then tumble
down to dust.
Deserts fill with dragons. Witches
ride their little brooms
like Halloween in July. Oceans wail.
Tectonic plates shift. Planets
line up like skid row inmates for lunch.
The sun shies away with wounded pride,
and the gay men green cheese grin.
Crows grow old beneath their feather boas,
waiting for the beast.
Turning, turning,
the world keeps turning,
waiting for the beast,
hunched on his haunches like Pan—
hairy, breasted, phallused—
Hecate.

'Troldhaugen'
“Froggie?” Zin peeled back the reeds and peered through them. He grinned and inched forward, a glass jar in one mud spattered hand. “I see you Froggie!” He chirped and lunged. There was a sudden scramble of frogs, some vanishing into the moss-shrouded water, others leaping into the nearby ferns. One was caught, wiggled futilely free of the dark grasping hand and slid into the jar anyway. “Naughty Froggie. I let you out soon. Not worry.”
The frog pressed up against the glass, looking out at the dark elf with mournful black eyes. Its throat bulged, a quick golden flicker.“I will take you to C’liss. He didn’t think I catch you.” The slight ...

The Crimson Heir
The kingdom of Valerune feared the mountains beyond the northern mist. Old stories claimed demons lived there creatures born from fire and shadow, cursed with horns and golden eyes. Mothers warned their children never to wander too close to the cliffs, and soldiers who returned from the north spoke in whispers.
But none of the stories ever mentioned Kael.
Kael stood alone on the edge of a frozen ridge, the wind pulling at his dark navy coat while snow gathered on his boots. A silver dagger rested in his hand, though he hardly noticed its weight anymore. His curled horns marked him as something the world despised before it even knew his name.
Yet Kael was not a monster.
He was the last prince of a forgotten bloodline.
Years ago, the royal family of Valerune betrayed an ancient pact with the mountain clans. Greed led to war, and war led to ruin. Villages burned beneath dragon fire, rivers turned black with ash, and in the chaos, Kael’s people were hunted nearly to extinction. As a child,

Return of the Goblin King
Return of the Goblin King An interesting fact about goblins: They cannot cross into the human world unless invited. They live in a world that resides alongside ours called the Underground, and are ruled over by their Fae King Jareth. The Goblin King's domain is a place of dangers untold and hardships un-numbered, and of beauty so great as to make one cry; it is a place for the forgotten, the unloved, and the unwanted. His job is, aside from the day-to-day's of running a kingdom, to collect those drawn into that chasm; or perhaps it is the Labyrinth itself that draws them close, allows them the freedom t...
