Hey guys, so my dog got sick and needed a trip to the vet yesterday. Poor baby has an infection (Pancreatitis) and was sent home after getting fluids and medications prescribed. I wasn't prepared to deal with the out of pocket expense, so things are tight. Had to pay $300 for the vet visit orz
On top of that, I needed dental care this last week as well. Thankfully I have a payment plan for the expense, but it's still more to pay every month. AND one of my medications, which is not covered by insurance, will cost me $260 alone. I had to skip my medication in order to take care of my dog's needs first ;-; I'm honestly really stressed right now and just...idk just want to cry. Life is a bit too much right now.
All that being said, I'm working on clearing out designs as that's probably the quickest way to get the funds I need. I'll still be adding more to my sales folder on toyhouse throughout the next day.

Regarding Poppy Playtime
I decided to make a post on this topic because of how important the series is to me, and due to an abusive comment I received from another user.
Poppy Playtime is a horror series with deep lore that has risen to importance for me on the level of the Legend of Zelda. I'm very serious. I haven't had a game series quite grip me like this in a very long time to where it's all I want to draw, it's all I want to do fanart for, AND make an OC x canon ship for. In the past, I was all about Ganondorf and my online history shows that from my very early days as Ganondorfs-Girl being my first username. I used to ship my OC with Ganondorf until recent years when I made my own Ganon to replace the canon character. Then I got shy about shipping canon for a very, very long time. For me to return to OC x canon again is a huge step for me personally.

Now, there's discourse among the Poppy Playtime fandom over the ages of the characters. If you play the game and pay attention to the timeline and lore, you'd know these toys are still aging and growing. Some people try to compare it to FNAF because of the trapped souls that game uses. In PPT this is not the case. The characters were experimented on as kids, but their entire nervous systems and every organ was moved to a new body. One lore video states a specific experiment had his thyroid ripped from his toy body when he was attacked. This proves they have their hormones still. In the game if you're looking at the scientific documents, you'll even find photos of Huggy Wuggy's mouth where it shows his teeth growing in after being turned into the giant toy. The toys all bleed, there's visible muscle (like Poppy when her face was damaged), they experience hunger etc.
Dead characters wouldn't do any of that. These characters never died, they were given new outer bodies but kept everything else. The lore specifically states they're living toys. Living things are always growing and changing. No one can use FNAF dead children's trapped souls as evidence as they're completely different game series with different lore 
If you've paid attention to the characters such as the Prototype, who is also a mass murderer and surgeon, you'd see how he speaks and behaves and plots as an adult. This is an adult man who by the time the game takes place, would be in his 40's.
Throwing around accusations of p*edophilia because your headcanons are different from what the game's lore specifically shows, is not only abusive but it's disrespectful to actual real life victims.
I figured at some point I'd see an abusive comment regarding this topic, but haven't so far as most of my PPT fandom experience has been on tumblr and AO3 so far. However one comment like that isn't going to stop me from enjoying Poppy Playtime, nor will it stop me from drawing the Prototype 
If my post and that video I linked still aren't enough for you, then all I can say is this: just block and move on, yeah? Don't like something, then curate your online experience by blocking people you don't want to see. It's just not necessary to attack people.

I don't know what to think about dA's recent addition of generated videos. It's hard to know for sure whether or not I want to keep using dA as my main gallery while they continue to push generated stolen content. I've been on here for 20 years, it's a longtime habit to always post here. But at the same time, watching the site I used to love just...keep digging its own grave, honestly hurts. I've met so many amazing people here that have unfortunately already left. I miss the old community.
Social media is so driven by the speed of consuming content that it's hard to "keep up". Most sites have algorithms that shove artists under the rug to the point where you can't take a break or else risk losing all engagement of your posts. No matter what, that will always be demoralizing.
So I'm on the fence with dA again. I've remained due to nostalgia, but I also don't know where else to post my work that will actually find views, comments etc. It's a rough spot to be in :/

It's amazing what happens when you finally get your ADHD medicated. I haven't felt this functional and motivated in a long while! Overall just having a lot of fun sitting down and working on older sketches/concepts that have been sitting around for a long time ^^
