There's a lot that happened during the 2010's and it's pretty amazing to look back and see where I used to be, and where I am now. Not just as an artist, but as a person. My heart has grown 5 times (my husband, our 4 children), I've been through more health challenges than I ever expected. (in the last 4 years alone I've had 10 surgeries, guys) But I survived. I lived through it all, and let that mold me into the person I am right now. In 2010 I met and married my wonderful husband, CaterBug. We brought children into the world in 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017. My life has changed so much. My family has grown, and not just by the number of children, but also the closest and dearest friends I have, I consider family I've gained friends, I've lost some, and I've also reconnected with some just recently!

Camara-san, my best friend, my sister and closest confidant. You have no idea how much your friendship truly means to me and I can't be more thankful to have met you, and that we're as close as we are. QAQ We talk every day, about everything! We have more OC ships than I ever imagined I'd share with one person rofl xDDD _{And that hasn't stopped us from making more. Literally, a couple new ones in the last week rofl} Story after story, we've created so much together and I can't wait to see what the next decade has in store >U

Webmegami, it's been just wonderful reconnecting with you and I'm so thrilled to have such a great friend ;v; It's so much fun sharing silly things and laughing so hard!! X'DDD I look forward to the projects we'll work on!! Your advice in recent months has been so helpful for me to navigate the tough challenges I faced in October especially ;v;

PositivePoison, even though we only met this year, it feels like you've been my friend a lot longer than that! It's been a blast working with you on new ships, and talking about so many things. ;v; it means so much that you ask me about the medical things Thane has been through. Being a special needs mom is a huge part of who I am and getting to talk about the scientific side of his epilepsy means so much to me QAQ

Snowfleet, we've known each other for a while now! ;v; I've loved watching your art style grow in the years I've known you, and I'm so thrilled for you and your little growing family!! Making connections with our OCs in this last year has been amazing and I can't wait to work on them more!!

Lumenvel, you're one of my long-time followers and your feedback is invaluable to me ;v; I have so much fun talking to you and sharing my thoughts with you. I'm so glad you're still around all these years later!! Thank you for being around and being my friend ;v;

I have so many friends I'm thankful for and this journal would get a mile long if I kept going like this X'DDD Just know that you all are important to me. So many of you, my watchers and friends, I value all of your feedback. Your comments, notes and well-wishes over the years have kept me going and I'm so glad to have you all here


Throughout this decade, reflecting on my art, I've created numerous new characters. My biggest muse, Faheem, was created at the beginning of 2010. Just days from now, he'll have existed for 10 years and that's almost hard for me to believe!! From then to now? My art style has improved so much, as well as Faheem himself ;v;

I have not seen as much growth in any OCs as I've seen in Faheem. The depth of his background history is enormous and he goes through so much. Just this year alone, Faheem has gained more connections to other OCs than he's had in the years prior ;v; I can't imagine him without Yldae, without, Otheno, without Hastios, Talnok, Tohrun and others They all play an important part in the whole story. Next month, the start of the new decade, I will dedicate to Faheem as much as I can because it's his 10th anniversary! I can't wait to work on sketches and everything in between!

Next month, aside from Faheem, I'll be working on art for two different zines to get them done. ^^ February I'm planning on finished art for more of my ships, sharing more references of OCs I'm still working on X'DD Then in April? That's Ovonre's 10th anniversary on dA! You'll get a month of Ovonre, plus extra because May is mer-May. Over the summer is Na'Ima and Dhiman's 10th anniversary, so you'll see art of them as well. And the list goes on. 2020 is full of milestones I'm looking forward to, aside from my OCs' anniversaries. I'll be 30 (GASP) in August, my son Thane will be 5 next December (which is huge for his rare epilepsy disorder. Many kids don't make it to age 5), my husband and I will see our 10th wedding anniversary next December as well! Plus other things in between as I said. It's exciting. I've got OC art and fanart on my schedule for next year. I hope you're looking forward to it!!
