Yes, Wi'Gailu is absolutely inspired by Waluigi and I have zero regrets |D

The idea for Wi'Gailu came about when I was trying to figure out a purpose for my girl Tali. Originally named Kritali, inspired by an adopt I made a while back. She was considered by me as a possible ship partner with Jynzou, but their color palettes clashed too much and so do their personalities. Later on I decided to revisit Tali while talking to my friends. In comes Wi'Gailu, the troupe leader and handsome dancer of the Sky Dancers. His clothing colors were somewhat tricky to figure out but it worked out in the end

You'll see these two in the same story-verse as Jynzou and the Misfit Pirates
