Finally Asleep

I've been sitting on this sketch for a few years now, so I decided to finally get it finished! It's not a painting like the other piece I finished of these two, but I love them all the same

For some story context: Mathias literally never sleeps, and he does this to keep his vampire aura low while he's disguised as a human to keep other vampires from seeking him out to fight over the territory. Essentially, to keep the village where he resides, safe from vampires. This makes him constantly exhausted of course. So when him and Avethia were getting to know each other, Avethia begs and pleads for him to take better care of himself and just sleep for a time. When he finally relents and sleeps, he lets Avethia watch over the library and himself while he slepts for several days straight. Avethia by this point is in love with him and is relieved he's finally taking time for much needed rest ;v;
