Deep in Thought

Earlier this year I put up a poll to ask about which of my pieces from 2010 I should redo in my current style. There were a lot to choose from, but because of how challenging this year was, I didn't get time to do one for any of the earlier 2010 works. Then I realized, the original "Deep in Thought" piece from December 2010 was the perfect choice.

The old version of this piece was the first I painted after getting married in 2010 ;v; I had also chosen a song to be Faheem's theme song, which I played on repeat while working on the original. Not only that, the original piece was the beginning of how I developed drawing Faheem the way I do now. Back then, believe it or not, his facial hair was a lot thinner and on his chin, didn't actually stick out! So when I drew it with a bit of length 10 years ago, it started the slow evolution of my style and how I finalized his look in the time since  

For this redo, I worked on it from start to finish within a 24-hour period. Faheem is my main OC, my permanent muse and even my comfort character. If I ever have an art block or time where I couldn't art for a while, drawing Faheem was always my way to get back into the swing of things. He's grown and changed along with me over the last 10 years ;v; 

I really hope you all enjoy this new version, and take a look at the older version too! I definitely wanted to make sure he was actually sitting on a comfortable chair this time lmaooo X'DD
