Abyss of the Deep Part Two~
Garry was gently floating in the seawater. He had no idea where exactly he was or how he got there. His shirt, pants, and coat were soaked, weighing him down.
He held his breath and dove into the dark water. His eyes widened at the sight. In front of him was a series of sharp rocks that seemed to fuse together further down. It stretched beyond his line of sight, but it seemed to curve, as though walling in this part of the sea from the world.
Just as Garry was running out of air, he heard a voice. It was muffled by the water, but it was a little girl’s voice.
He turned, expecting to see Ib, but was surprised to see a different girl. She was about the same age as Ib, but she had wavy blonde hair that moved almost hypnotically in the water. Her eyes were a greenish-blue that matched a tail that slowly flicked for balance. Those eyes were narrowed in anger at Garry.
“How dare you come here? You’re looking for Ib, aren’t you?” she said lowly with an edge in

Just a few miles off the shores of a distant land is a dangerous strip of sea. Pointy rocks surround the undersea world, preventing any ship from slipping past. And despite being relatively close to land, the ocean floor seems to drop.
This untouched realm had been measured to be about 15 miles in diameter. The locals of the towns near the strip of sea forbid going past the sharp rocks that fence the area since anyone who came in never was seen again.
For this reason, the locals call this area The Abyss of the Deep. It is in this dark realm where our story begins.
Ib stared at the tangles of rubbery seaweed as it waved with each gentle current. She flicked her small red fish tail to keep balanced in the water. Her straight, shoulder-length brown hair billowed out behind her as tiny, unnoticeable gills on either side of her neck accepted the salty water graciously into her system.
“Ib!” a shrill girl’s voice came to her ears. She turned her r

A cloudy Monday afternoon brought me excitement, nervousness, and anxiety as my father Guertana pulled his car outside the unfamiliar building.
“Have you brought everything with you, Mary?” he inquired, staring me down with those tired blue eyes.
I smiled brightly at him and patted my backpack. “Everything I’ll need.” I answered.
He gave me a small, sad smile. “I’ll see you when the lesson is over sweetheart. I gotta go now. My unfinished painting is calling to me.”
Taking the hint, I opened the car door and approached the building without even acknowledging the car as it pulled away.
The building was dark inside, giving the impression that it was closed, but when I tried the door, it was unlocked. For a moment, I thought I was at the wrong place.
Then the sound of other teenagers chatting away reached my ears. I sighed with relief. For some reason, I feel afraid when I’m alone, like no one will be around
The Beginning: Chapter SixChapter Six
It took them a while to get to Angel Island. They were tired from all that happened in the past few days. When they finally made it to the Master Emerald, they asked each other questions about themselves.
‘What’s your favorites color?’ Jenny wrote to Knuckles. She was sitting next to him in front of the Master Emerald. She adjusted the chain on her necklace so the shard of the Master Emerald was covering her bandage.
“I like the color red, but I also like green.” Knuckles answered, leaning back until he was looking comfortably at the sky.
Jenny wrote something more on the whiteboard and showed it to him. ‘Like your fur and the Master Emerald?’
“Yeah, I guess you could say that.” Knuckles said. Then a moment of silence passed. Knuckles looked over at Jenny, curious as to what she could be writing.
Instead of writing, she was doodling on the whiteboard. “What’re you drawing, Jenny?” Knuckles asked.

On Angel Island, Knuckles sat in front of the Master Emerald as he did every day, except today he was anticipating Jenny's visit. A beeping from his cellphone caught him off guard. He was surprised to see it was Becky calling.
"Hello?" he greeted into the phone.
"Knuckles!" Becky yelled in a frantic voice, "Have you seen Jenny? Her boss called and said that she didn't come to work. Did she go to your place early or something? She's missing!"
"No, I haven't seen her at all today. Are you sure she's missing?" he answered anxiously.
"I'm positive. After her boss called, I rushed over to all the places she would go. Then I tried calling her cell phone, but she wouldn't pick up. Knuckles, I'm scared. Jenny would never act this way. What if she's lost or hurt?" the purple fox whimpered, starting to cry.
"Don't cry! I'll be over there and we'll find her, I promise. Where are you?" Knuckles tried to console the panicking fox.
"I'm outside the apartment bu

Omega and Shadow looked like they were about to attack, but Becky finally knew how to respond to his questions. "What does it matter to you whether I'm Knuckles or Becky? I'm just here to protect this thing," she pointed to the Master Emerald behind her, "Rouge tried to prevent me from doing my job."
Shadow glanced at Rouge, who was still unconscious in Omega's arms. "I don't know why it matters, but you are acting suspicious and my teammate has been beaten up. Do you expect me to just walk away without questioning?"
"Do you really want to know what happened? She basically came up to me, called me a freak, and started beating me. I didn't want a fight, but I didn't want to get hurt and watch her steal the Master Emerald. I'm telling the truth." Becky explained.
Shadow stared at her critically and looked to Omega. "What are the chances that he/she is telling the truth?"
"There is 85% chance that this is Becky and 98% chance that she is telling the truth." Omega said
