Hey all!

So this group has been super inactive for quite some time and for that I sincerely apologize. I personally haven't been on dA nearly as often as I was a couplefew years ago. And I suspect the same is true for most of the other admins, though I really can't speak for them.

Anyway, I'm currently organizing the gallery into folders so people can have an easier time finding the things they're looking for. Recent submissions will still go to the featured folder and then later moved to their appropriate home.

I've also turned down the number of votes needed to get deviations approved for submission, so hopefully the process will go more quickly. Unfortunately, this group has a history of receiving submissions that have nothing at all to do with Animorphs, so the approval system is still necessary.

I'm also gonna start being in the chat room  again, when I'm available.

And I think this is a perfect time to thank all you lovely people for the submissions that we've received over the years. Even with it being...well...a little on the dead side, you wonderful fans have kept us going with your drawings and your comics and I think that's pretty rad. :3

As for the future, I'd love to be able to do events of some kind, but I haven't a clue what kind. Suggestions welcome!

Other fandom s celebrate pairing weeks, for there favorite pairings. I dunno if anyone ever started anything like that with Animorphs.

You could also sponsor a weekly or monthly theme challenge. Pic a word at random (keep track of what words you've used) and ask artists and authors to submit images or one-hour based on that word. Some words would obviously be easier than others. You would generate a lot of new fandom submissions without having to worry about contest prizes!

Maybe we should organise a Google Hangout broadcasting to Youtube so other fans can join in? Spend a couple hours reliving the glory days that was Animorphs :)

I know this came a bit late and I might have missed the boat, but I totally agree. :)

Aaah, I love that you're going to organize the gallery into folders! That's been bothering me occasionally cx

This fandom is surprisingly alive for such an old series, I follow quite a few brilliant artists that are huge animorphs fans! They're all more active on tumblr, though. lackofa especially, their animorphs stuff is the best.
My comic version of the first few chapters of The Invasion also received quite a lot more attention than I thought it would, so yeah. I like animorphs fans. C:

Guess it's not a wondering considering the age of the books, however (forgot it) the uploading of arts it's free&allowed for every DA member?
If you're too busy to check the requests of adding arts, you could keep open and free the uploading of new files.

unfortunately the group receives a lot of submission requests that are unrelated to animorphs

I'm glad to see there's still some activity in this group. :) I've noticed that Animorphs hasn't been really popular for the past few years. Is it because the tv series or books or both? I recently finished the book series myself and I can see why some people may not like the end.

I think it's just because it's old tbh. Scholastic tried to renew interest by releasing the first books with updated covers but idk how successful they were.

As hyped up about the books a lot of fans were, Scholastic didnt get too far with publication of the books. They got to book 7 "The Stranger" and stopped. I guess it was loss of funds or something. I was personally hoping to at least get to book 8 so we could see what the revised Andalites would look like, but to no avail there's not even pictures or any lenticular designs of Ax.

I should probably start uploading deviations to help bring the activity back up, it won't be much help but it'll be something at least.lol

I'd power-trip so hard if I had access to that thing, oh man. And yeah, same here. I started reading them in elementary school so they were hugely formative for me.

I started reading them about 4 or 5 years ago (maybe more), but I had to stop continuously because I couldn't access the next books. I finished the series a couple weeks ago. There were times when I'd read entire books late at night and end up with dreams about the Animorphs. Sometimes I was a dolphin, and sometimes other animals. My most recent one (a month or two ago) I was Red-tailed Hawk in my dream, and I was with Marco at some restaraunt (McDonalds?). Unfortunately, that's the closest I can get to actually morphing.

that is so awesome that you picked them up so recently and stuck with it even though it was hard to find them! I remember reading them all completely out of order for years on end because none of the libraries I had access to had all of the books (there are like 60 so that's hardly a surprise). I remember being SUPER CONFUSED when I was reading the first 6 or so books because I was reading them out of order and sometimes there'd be an andalite in the group and sometimes there wasn't and just whaaaa??? granted I was like 10 at the time. finally got to read #4 and boy did I feel silly for reading them out of order

lol I know what you mean. On my first read through the books I read 1-19, 21-23 25-28, 33-36, 41, the Hork Bajir Chronicles, Megamorphs 1 and 4, Alternamorphs 1, and possibly Visser before quitting (This is mostly guessing on my part). I remember that I read the book where Tobias discovered his real father before reading the Andalite Chronicles. A few months ago, I found out that my local library had all but maybe 3 or 4 books (I've either read or owned the missing books), so I was extremely excited. I could check as many books as I wanted for 4 weeks, and the chance for 2 renewals. So I went about 5 books at a time from the very beginning of the series (since I forgot mostly everything in the books). It wasn't until recently that I finally finished the series (and all in the right order. I'll have to say though, my favorite books are the ones with Tobias. He had a unique perspective that I just liked more than the others, and for some reason, my least favorite books tend to have Rachel's perspective (especially the starfish one where she was split into two).

I had to buy most of them from half-price bookstores or online. That is amazing that your library has so many of them. I wouldn't be surprised if most of them were donated by the same person.
