Alright, so a month or so back, I had some abdominal pains I passed off as just a stomach flu or such from the season shifting and bugs were going around, anyway. (Most people at my work were sick) However, that pain persisted and I went to see a doctor, the doctor's concerns were that it was either my pancreas, my liver or my appendix. After blood tests, ultrasounds and x-rays it was determined that it was my liver. Which is a little ironic as I do not drink alcohol at all. Fortunately it is something that is treatable but I need to also take better care of myself if I don't want things to exacerbate.
Therefore, since about a month ago I've started to eat healthier, snack healthier, and exercise regularly. I'm actually already down several pounds and am feeling a lot better for it. Although, I have developed a slight daytime narcolepsy in conjunction with working midnights and going from 0 to 60 on the healthy lifestyle scale by basically going cold turkey off anything junk-ish (with maybe only 2 or 3 cheat days in the past month from circumstances such as Christmas Party for work at a pizza place.)
All in all, I'm going to keep at it, though. It's probably something I should have done years ago but just between university and working and etc I just honestly couldn't have been bothered to have taken better care of myself. Fast food was cheap and convenient and became all too common. Now the closest thing to fast food I do is pitas I get from this one place I go, which are healthy enough for me.
Anyway, it's been awhile since I did a journal so I figured I'd update everyone. My job is going well, I'm past my probationary period and overall I'm a lot happier. ^^ Hope everyone has a good Christmas and New Years, I wish you all the best!
