I think this came out pretty well.

The year is 1950. It has been five years since the end of World War II, and four since the final determination of the terms at Yalta. The divisions between former Allies has been cast. The Soviet Union and America have made an uneasy friendship against the rolling wheels of imperial monarchy. France and US have formed along side their allies, the Trans-Atlantic Union (see: the people with the curly text)

The British have banded their Imperial allies to form the Commonwealth, an alliance of imperial states (Tannenburg Fett)

The Soviets have their sphere of influence, Warsaw Pact (Soviet cyrillic).

The US, Britain and France have yet to settle their differences, as they occupy Iberia, which had sided with Hitler during the war -- Will Spain collapse into a proxy war by the former three best friends, or will Spain be restored to a united nation? Only time can tell.

(The borders of the DDR are slightly different in this one because I'm bad at redrawing DDR with Silesia and Pommerania, so... Stalin and the DDR partitioned Poland again and just said "too much liability".)

Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Iceland were left untouched by the post-war border drawings... for now.

Parts of Tyrol (Austria's tail) has some Italians in it and that would probably of been an excuse for annexation. Like it is better that Tyrol falling to the Communists

I think thats wrong put Portugal over control of the US, Portugal is the more old ally of United Kingdom, Portugal and United Kingdom are allies since 1383 ( 563 years in 1946), UK will never accept these occupation, But I agree with the partition of Spain =D, but not Portugal, and in this map Portugal need the independence and other spanish territories ( Galicia, Olivenza), but in the rest of Europe everything is good except Poland, why Poland didn`t exist ? Except Portugal and Poland I like everything, and the integration of Finland in SSSR is very interesting.

There is no BRD. There's the Kingdom of Germany, the Federal Republic of Bavaria, and the German Democratic Republic. The BRD doesn't exist in this timeline.

A Scandinavian republic?! Some real good bonding sh*t had to go down for that to work, since Norway and Sweden had a bitter relationship ever since Norway had to form a personal union with Sweden in 1814.
(In real life, the union was broken off in 1905.)
Or is this the result of imperialism on either Scandinavian state's part? :O

Sweden joined the Allies at the very end of the War, and quickly swept into Norway and Denmark, liberating them. They then promptly annexed them both. The Kingdom was then overthrown in 1948 by a popular referendum, giving way to the U.R.S.

Oh, so we were kind of saving them, but at the same time asserting our dominion over the region? Eeeexcellent I salute you!
I'm glad we still have our (very diligent, popular and contributive) monarchy IRL though.
Your map made my imagination soar. I needed that, thanks!

Also, GREAT work. I get inspired to make my own. Where did you get such a nice map and paper texture, if I may ask?

Pro... French.... Yugoslavia.... Franceboos....

You do know just cause Yugoslavia has a similar flag to France *does not* mean it is cause France has a similar flag. It is just a coincidence. Like are you serious

At the time I made this, I was a Zionist. Now I'm not... I should re-create this and say "nah" to Israel. Create a Greater Palestine.
