Blue - ARCHON Unit Armour Design #01

More stuff from the original/draft novels.

And this, I suppose, is where my obsession with Mega Man starts to bleed into my work. There's some very blatant inspiration taken out of the Fourth Armour from Mega Man X4 in here, particularly with the leg parts.

This probably won't be the final design. It was around when I was putting the finishing touches on it that I took a step back and thought "Actually yeah, I don't really like this design all that much."

In the near future I'll probably put together a few different rough sketches and try and combine the best parts of each one for a final design... which is what I should have done the first time, but hey.

I should probably also learn how to properly shade metal, so that this 'glistening mechanical frame' actually looks like it's y'know, glistening and all that.

I was pretty happy with his facial expression though. He's meant to look as though he's gripped by desperation, and I think I did a decent enough job of conveying that.
