Random Fast and Furious Trivia

This is some random trivia for some Fast and Furious fans that may not know any of these things that I’m going to mention:

4. For Brian's Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII, it never existed in the US market. Also, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo never come to the US market until 2003, so four Evo VII's were donated by Mitsubishi Japan while 2 Fast 2 Furious was being filmed in 2002. Those four Evos were meant to be designated for a European rally team in Austria. The sounds for it were from a Honda S2000 and some were from a Subaru Impreza WRX. Its taillights were made by Genera TYC to make it look like an Evo VIII. 5. The NOS in some of the cars such as Brian's Eclipse (https://fastandfuriousfacts.com/brians-eclipse-specs/) were not equipped properly as they were only there for show.

6. There are different sort of cars that the creators used for specific scenes: hero 1 is the best looking car with all of the most important features. Used for close ups and interior shots. Hero 2 is the backup for hero 1 and was used for different location. Otherwise, used for interior shots for Brian's Eclipse for example. Then there are the stunt vehicles that were used for specific stunts such as the bridge jump in 2 Fast 2 Furious and the destruction of Brian’s Eclipse. 8. When Dom says “Granny shifting, not double-clutching like you should”, there is a factual error to this. Double-clutching is a gear changing technique for trucks that do not have good synchros on their transmissions. It can also be for racers that need to match the transmission speed to the engine speed when downshifting through the turns. Granny shifting is obviously upshifting at low revs. What Dom could have said was “Granny shifting, not upshifting at high revs like you should”. 9. To make a real life R34 Nissan Skyline to sound exactly the same as the one from 2 Fast 2 Furious, you would need: a tubular manifold, a HKS or Greddy Trust front pipe, and any muffler and it doesn't matter which one you choose whether it would be titanium or stainless steel. You should also use a HKS Hi-Power exhaust. You will also need to switch the RB26 engine from twin-turbo to single-turbo and the easiest one to get is the GReddy T78. You could also use a HKS T04Z, HKS T51R, or maybe any other turbo that will still be suitable to use to replicate the 2 Fast 2 Furious Skyline engine sound, I don't know what other turbos are okay to use. 10. Vin Diesel was going to star in 2 Fast 2 Furious, but the reason why he didn't was because he was unhappy with the script. So, he decided to work on Chronicles of Riddick instead. 11. When Brian is being interrogated by Dom and Vince after breaking into Hector's workshop, he says Hector has ordered a Motec Exhaust for the three Civics. 12. In The Fast and the Furious where Eclipse blows up after Dom shouts out, "NOS!" and in Fast and Furious 2009 where Dom blows up four cars by pushing the cigarette lighter in to release nitrous oxide into the car, this is an error. Nitrous oxide is NOT flammable. Instead, it supports combustion when under pressure because it is an oxidiser. Another important statement to mention is that a car with nitrous tanks in the back WON'T explode by shooting at it with a submachine gun.
