Not this particular one. Sacred fo Egyptians was beetle from genus Scarabaeus, and on the photo beetle from genus Theodosia
You can see the difference if you google "Scarabaeus sacer" and "Theodosia maindoroni" :)
Multiple images of the same subject, with the focus point at slightly different places. All theimages are then blended to create ONE image which is in focus from front-to-back. Think of taking a globe of the world, and then imaging very thin slices. Stitching them together will create an image where everyrhing is in sharp focus.
The techniques is sometimes used for pictures of cascades of water, Again, multilpe images, ALL at the same focal length, ALL (hopefully), with the same exposure, but where the focus differs front-to-back.
