By beauty immemorial I am surrounded: The radiant embrace like morning come, The deep oceans that turn upon my head, The tug of limbs across my back like a drum. Sourced by Eden upon which only one has tread, She is a rose above roses to whom I succumb.

These deepest and lonely night-time hours Force upon my mind this endless domain, Of the sun, dark, on a bed of flowers. What am I, if it should ne'er rise again?

With the ever-present sea at my feet, I gazed intently into the waves slowly lapping the boat. Though many things clouded my mind, one thought was determined to constantly pierce through my concentration as if it were butter: my beloved, my love. The beautifully sweet mistress whose love seized my affection with such vigor I would cease to breathe if she willed it so.
