Yup, today is 22nd of august and the first day the new Teenage Mutant Bay Turtles were shown in the country I live. ...naturally I went and saw it. THREE DEE!! Okay, let me defend myself that the 2D show was on when I couldn't see it and I just needed to see this asap, so 3D it is then. Besides, this was the first movie I've ever seen in 3D so I was kinda excited too. And yyyyyyyeeeah I can see why people aren't that interested in 3D movies, but...Maybe because it was my first 3D experience or something, but I think it was fine with this movie.

Anyway...I wanted to "tell my own thoughts about the movie for the whole world" or atleast few of ya people out there ho have followed me. (btw, thanks for that. :3)

Naturally; there will be spoilers, so if you haven't seen the movie... I suggest you either won't read this or skip straight to the final analysis for my thought in a nutshell. ...see what I did there? ...Because they are turtles. ...hhhhh... ...I need a girlfriend...

...Anyway...Let me start with saying I think my childhood wasn't raped at all. I know some of you might instantly go like "dudeWHAAAT?!" but...I honestly think this isn't as bad some people make it out to be. I confess if I would gone see it and hope for something good I'd be...well not hating it, but i'd be dissapointed with it. I, however, went to see it in a mindset fully aware that I'm gonna see Michael Bay Turtles. ...Let's stop for a moment there. Even though I'm a fan and I love TMNT I can confess the concept and idea of them is just ridiculous. I mean c'mon... Mutant turtles that are ninjas, named after renessance painters, learned their skills from a mutated rat, fight against other ninjas and their leader who dresses in a samurai suit full of razor sharp blades? ...Granted a mand dressed as a bat fighting penguin mans and clowns isn't an easy stunt to pull of either, but imo TMNT always had it way harder.
Now let's look at good ol' Michael Bay, the man you can just sum up in two words; 'slowmotion' and 'BOOOM!' ...Now both of these considered... did you SERIOUSLY think you would have seen the next Dark Knight? I didn't. And thanks for that the movie managed to surprise me and get me. And I'm glad with that.

Let me start with things I DIDN'T like about in the movie and end this "review" with positive notes.
Okay, here we go.

I confess when the movie began I was instantly shaking my head thinking; "whoooboy, it's gonna suck hard, isn't it?" when I heard Splinters speech in the intro. And this is because the cause he trains the Turtles for. He says that he is prepairng them to someday come out of the sewers and save the city and be it's guardian myths. ...And that's one thing I don't like certain version of the TMNT franchise in general. That they are presented as heroes born to save the city and world. No. Let's think about it for a minute here now... The -87 cartoon certainly made them these heroes, heck the show was later called as Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, but that wasn't how it was meant to be originally and I guess jsut the -80's is the reason for that, since the time of darker heroes and vigilanties was just coming. In the new Nickelodeon and the 2003 serie (the one closest to comics so far imo) they never trained to be heroes, but their paths just lead them to stand against Shredder one way or another. In the new Nick show they meet April, decide to help her and Shredder learns about them and comes after them. He causes havoc and turtles, while no heroes, decide to do the 'right' thing and stop his plans again and again because it would be trouble for them and their allies too. Same with the 2003 show. They go against foot because they get mixed up with them and so it becomes partly personal. They could join Shredder, sure, but that's where their morale comes in. But still they weren't full heroes, just a vigilanties more like. If there'd be more villains then Shredder in their universe, Joker for example, would they really care to just go against him or rather leave him be because there's a giant bat after th clown anyway?
And speaking of the 2003 serie, let's talk about the comics. The reason Splinter trains them is REVENGE. To KILL Shredder who killed Hamato Yoshi. They're trained to be ASSASSINS. ...See what I'm going for here? As the comics progress they end up taking Shredder down and saving the city along that, but it was never the their duty. More like personal affair and for their own safety.
But in this movie their trained specifically to save the city. And I know it's not that big deal, especially since that is "destiny" is pretty much replaced to "just keep hiding" cause soon, but... Yeah, for the wery first lines it just pissed me bit off.
Like Donnie said in the original comics issue 19: "We're not the guardians of the society, Raphael... We never were."

I guess this is no brainer, but the new Foot Clan... eh... I guess it's more modernlike to make them all troopers and give them guns, but I would have preferred the ninjas over that... The fight scnes would have been more interesting that way too, since the Turtles themself flip over and over, even Shredder does, so seeing more of that would have been just... Something to wish for. And the way they look... ehh... Again; I get why they made them troopers, but... They're far too generic and boring.
Speaking of how characters look, I have no problem how the Turtles look. Oh yes I said that. Yeah, sure, when the first images were shown it was... meeeh... and that's mainly because they needed a mout with lips. As the time passed by, I love the designs more and more! Great aplauds and thumbs up for the designers here to actually have the guts and balls to make them like this. And besides, THEY ARE MUTATED TURTLES... How hot you think they could possibly be?! At the moments the only place I have some "eh..." -ing with them is their noses. And mainly only from Mikeys part. Leo, and Donny I have no problem how they look since they do have more of a turtle peak then is shown in some images, and while Raph has literally no peak at all it kinda suits him imo and he looks badass. But Mikeys nose is just... ugly. But honestly (and I know I'll get stoned for this...) I prefer these over the 87 cartoon like ones. Now now, the reason for that is that... they... always looked... more like toads to me. I know it sounds odd, but in my opinnion their faces were too round... These movie looks don't have exactly the 1 on 1 look either but some sea turtles don't really have that big peak anyway. What they'd need would be bigger upper lip, sure, but these aren't as bad as people make them to be. THERE, I SAID IT!!
But the two looks I didn't really like in the movie.... Shredder and Splinter. I think Doug Walker said it perfectly when he said the new Shredder looks like a Transformer. I guess I understand what they were going for, but...yeah... If Shredder would have changed to Megatron from BayFormers for a while I wouldn't have noticed. Hopefully they redo his armor on next movie and make it look more samurai like. Then we have the Shredder.
And lastly the Splinter... Whooboy... He looks just... ugly as hell... xD And that's a major dissapointment, since I think this movie finally had a great Splinter. He was shown as a strict sensei, but also a caring father for Turtles. ...Okey, that part is nothing new, sure, but I actually felt something when he locks the Turtles outside the lair to keep them safe for Shredder, whic leaves him alone with Shredder. And then the Turtles still come back in to save their sensei and father only to get captured. That was seriously one of the emotionally best scenes in the movie, alongside the one where Raphael comes back and sees the lair destructed and Splinter nearly dead. I was actually scared they might go as far and kill Splinter in this one, but once Raph leaves him behind it was pretty much guaranteed way to say; "relax, he is safe for now." Also, this Splinter kicks ass! I just love how he fights in this one, using his tail to hold one foot soldier while beating up another. He moves like a rat against Shredder and pretty much kicks his ass until the plot decides it's time for him to lose now. And this isn't the Splinter we've seen that often. Yes, we've seen him fight in the 2003 cartoon, somewhat fight in the -87 cartoon andas far as the movies go... In the 2007 movie he was just there too, but...honestly, I still can't believe how the giht against that many foot soldiers was that boring... And what did he do in the first live acton film? ...flip Shredder of the roof. ...yeah.... woosh... (he is cool in the new Nick series though.)
This is definitely one of the better Splinters and that's why it's so painfull that every time I see him and his all black eyes I either try not to crack up or think how ugly he looks like. Even for a rat.

Another thing I don't like is the action in the movie. No, let me be more specific, the action in this movie is great. Really. It's just the very final fight between the Turtles and the Shredder I have problems with. For a final fight the fight between Turtles and Shredder is kinda... lame. Especially since te previous action scene, the one they slide down the snowy hill, is just so SO MUCH more impressive and better and interesting and all the stunts are cool and... seriously, I was on the edge of the seat during that one.

Also something about the characters... No real fight with or against Karai even though she's in the movie. She's literally there just so you can be like; "Oh Karai's in this, huh?" She doesn't do anything in this one other than get her ass kicked and just... well, just be there. And...What's the reason for Vern(on) to even be in this movie? Other than to drive April to places he serves really no purpose. And what about Erich Sachs? Sure, the plot needed some scientists, but... he is just like what Karai should be. The apperentice of Shredder... and speaking of him and Shredder their plot is ... eäääähhmmm... So many have said this is like The Amazing Spiderman or how Sechs IS frigging rich already and....they are right. If Shredders plan would have just been take over the city by force with Foot Soldiers I would have been fine. That way Karai would have had bigger role too probably and... hhhhh... Whatever happened to good ol' "let's conquer THE WORLD!!" ...?

Lastly, I think the movie could use another 30 mins. I know it's an action movie, but it feels rushed at times and I think we could use some time showing character progress and how everyone bonds together or revealing their backstory more or something, you know, that would open the TMNT lore for possible newcomers of the franchise. Their gonna be left out badly.

Out of the blue I don't really recall anything else negative, or THAT negative from the movie, so let's move on.
I've already mentioned some good stuff about the movie in the negative comments and I won't repeat them again, but let's see what else I liked about the movie.

The Turtles themself in this are great. And I'm not talking about how they look, but their personalities. They make a lot funny jokes and honestly every time they were on screen I was like little kid again. There aren't really many scenes where you can fully get their brother connection (again the famous elevator scene deserves that praise) but let's face it... Most of us, the fans of TMNT, know their connections and thus we can somewhat pass that. When they make inside jokes we can understand them since we're seen their connection before. I think the point where this is best seen is near the end where they try to figure out how to take out the Shredder and Raph is like "No! Let's listen to Leo!" and then Raph and Leo bump fists showing they've found how to respect each others finally. There's a scene like that in every TMNT thing these days, like how Raph gives Leos swords back to him in 2007 version and tells him to lead them out and leo says he needs him too etc. ...But there's really nothing indicating they had any problems in this film. In the beginning Raph tells he'll leave the group and go solo and later when Foot invades their lair he yells at Leo saying he is sick hearing him tellim him what to do, but those are really just glanced over and hardly qualify for something that needs to or is resolved in the end. There's even a scene in the end where they think they're gonna fall to their death and everyone makes a confession, Raphs being that he didn't really mean to anythnig he ever said and actually loves is bros. We all know that and it should be clear anyway since just some time ago he came risking his life to save his brothers who got captured. But then again I think that confession was added more as a joke, since it ends Raph still confessing while they've hit the ground long ago and are unharmed. Heck, there's even a cd scratch sound so...yeah. Sure, these are movies flaws but at least a flaw that we can live by, but like I previously said; possible newcomers are gonna get either lost or confused since they don't know the backstories or TMNT lore.

All the references in this. And oh my god there's lot of them. We get the Turtle van cameo in the very end of the movie (and when it honks it plays the 'heroes in the half shells, turtle power', there's a reference where Vern(on) says "so...they're aliens?" where April answers "No... That would be stupid..." referring the big shitstorm about the movie that began when Bay said Turtles would have an alien origin, which was the rescripted. The book Splinter and Turtles learn ninjutsu is written by Eastman and Laird, one part Shredder says; "tonight I'll dine on Turtle soup" which is reference to an -87 tv show episode and a line from one TMNT game, and many, many, many, many more. Trust me, if you keep your eyes open you're gonna have an easteregg fest. And I had nothing against that.

Like I said, the humor in this is just great. There's a wery cliched scene where Turtles run straight into an army of Foot Soldiers and everyone just keep standing and looking at eachothers and Rpah and Mikey slowly wave to them and then they come yelling and running after them... We've seen that so many times so why is it still so funny? Another moment is when April rescues Turtles out from the lab experiment.... things... I don't know what they're called, but the thing is they are trapped there and the machine is pumping their blood off. She then gives them adrenaline which results them all, Mikey, leo and Don getting an overdose and they just start running and yelling full of adrenaline. You know, same thing that happens when you drink too much energy drinks or somethign. You're just bursting with energy. There's also a scene where Vern(on) (I'm sorry I just can't spell his name as Vern... xD) is cooking breakfast and he is listening to Careless Whisper from George Michael... That alone gived me such a laugh. Mikey makes some great lines too, though some of them are more annoying than funny, but yeah they play him right in my opinnion. The first of these is in the beginning where Donny, Raph and Leo are monitoring the movements of Foot Clan in City and Mikey is watchng the Keyboard cat playing...WITH CHOPSTICKS!! Even Splinter makes funny scenes, while not telling the jokes himself. There's a scene where Mikey is standing on a chair with his hands and he's like "Ha! I'm in the zone! I'm UNBREAKABLE!" and then Splinter brings a pizza with 99 different cheeses right before him and Mikey is immediately "...Starting to crack...!!" Trust me, while the humor isn't, like, BWAHAHAHAHA funny, you will still get at least a grin or two.

There's also a scene with Megan Fox's ass. That's always a good thing, right? ...Yeeeeah haters gonna hate, but I'm not really Megan Fox's fan. I know she's hot and everything but.. eh... never really liked her that much. But I think she does ok in this movie. Not like; "whau'vee!! My new favorite actress!!" -kinda job, but not bad either. And that's allways positive. Good job Meg, I thereby apologise I nearly cut my wrist when I heard ya'd play April. Continue to surprise me in da future too. (...she can see this, right? xD)

Closing words

Whoooooooboy, my head is empty. Summa summarum, this isn't the TMNT movie we wished or waited to see. BUT... there clearly is potential for the next movie to be maybe even on Batman Begins level (I'm not optimistic enough to ever believe we'll get our Dark Knight TMNT movie) but it is gonna need some work.
I really hope they listen to the fans and newcomers alike when making the sequel. Personally I'd wish the movie would be longer and have those slow moments in too when we can breath after all that action and let the characters grow.
It's not a bad movie, but... How to put it nicely... Well, it's as good as a movie of four mutated turtles that learned ninjitsu from a rat and fighting against a tin man can be. At least for the moment.
I however am definitely waiting for 2016's sequel.  For the movie I had no hope for at all to managing me get excited and be a little kid again... that's an achivement.

Thank you all, Zin Zin laters...
How did you like the movie?

| EDIT: |

Okay, so time has passed and I've seen the movie now total of five times. Twice alone in 3D, twice alone in 2D for comparison and one 3D time with my mother. ...Yeeees you read that one correctly, I actually bought a ticket for my mother too since I wanted to hear an opinnion of the movie from someone who... hmmm... Isn't that knowledged with TMNT lore.
...I just made a mistake for going with her on 3D show since it was her first 3D movie ever so she kept most interested of how the 3D look and differs so... yeah, small mistake I made, but worth it!! xD
And how did she like the movie? She isn't exactly the most... review like person, but she liked it okay. I asked her some things, like how the first third of the movie was slow and dull but really got you once it had a chance to get going. She agreed with that, but just like me the first time, couldn't get her eyes of the screen once the snowhill scene played.
And she also agreed with me on the note that the movie didn't really inform much of the lore to newer audience. She knows that much that Raph and Leo always fight, never why and many other stuff I had to explain her later.

But...yeah. Does this mean the movie is bad or am I gonna stick with my previous "it's okay" -opinnion? Well.... I am. Still not a masterpiece, and it's really stupid but by god it is so entertaining. And that is exactly what I could ever ask from TMNT movie.
Besides, it kept the interest of nearly 60 years old woman on itself so she didn't look at her watch to see when the movies gonna finally end... And that's NEVER happened when I've gone to movies with hger, nowdays or while I was still a kid.
And that, my friends, I think says it all. Well played.
Sooooo...Lastnight I decided that; heck, no sleep tonight and began an anime marathon and decided to go with horror genre this time. I saw one two episode long OVA, one 13 ep long serie and one movie and when that as over I decided to see one more movie at random and the rusty bullet of destiny hit on a movie called Gyo, Fish. This is a movie adaption of the horror manga with same name and it was made by Ufotable in 2012....I apologise beforehand if this not a review "review" is confusing...It's just that I still have chills down my backbone and it jsut won't go away. But get this; it's not because the movie would have been scary or something like that, granted it was pretty...scary though, but --- ...This of the MOST...disturbing animes I've seen in my life...! And just in case some little Johan up there is now like; "you should see Elfen Lied or Ichi the Killer or Hellsing or Devil May Cry" or anything like that -- let me say that; I have...And b*** PLS...You haven't seen NOTHING yet oh believe me, by allmighty God and everything that is saint, heck by the underwears of Batman --- You've. Seen. NOTHING. Yet. ...Yeah...! I'm serious! Don't believe me, well BE - MY - GUEST - and go see it yourself...! But let me give you quick summery of what happens in the movie though.

So....You probably have heard how awesome or how doomed we'd be if sharks could fly or had legs or...something. ...Guess what happens in this movie. So yeah, it's kinda like....The Walking dead but...with fish. Meh, doesn't sound so bad. Well when I first saw the first fish that had some legs I was like; ....the heck is that?! But I thought that this is gonna be one of those movies that try to shock you being odd and that way end up funny, but...I think I made my oppinion clear before. So anyway, the story begins with our main character, Kaori Sawahara, having a chat on the phone with her fiancee and...yaeh not wery interesting. Anyway, she's on an island on holiday with her friend and they goe to a cottage her fiancees uncle let them use. Soon there's and odd noise I first though was a mouse but once they manage to kill it it's revealed to be the fish I mentioned earlier. You know...Spider legs and everything... Anyway, during the night it a scenery from The Simpsons happens when the livings of sea, not penguins this time though, march on the land. Thhe next mornng a shark, A SHARK, pays a visit and decides to cause havoc. They manage to kill the shark and then notice how the spiderfish's have decided to concuer the land. Out of worry for her fiancee Kaori decides to go back to Tokyo and find him. Oh well what can you do. She leaves her two friends there (who by the way will have their own problems too) and when she arrives to Tokyo in a plane she and this other dude she met on the plane see that the whole town seems to be taken over by these creatures. Oh well, any further from that would be like...oops, spoilers, so I wrap it up with this --- Will she find her fiancee and what is going to happen for the rest of the world?! See yourself to know...!

As you may read from that it doesn't sound that bad and honestly up to that it's not THAT bad. It's on the level of bad that you laugh at it while asking few time whatta heck you are watching, but...After that is when the s**t really hits the...well you know. I haven't read the two volumed manga yet and I be honest; I really don't want to...I confess that the part of me that loves s****y mangas is really curious, but the rest of me....Tries to fight against this. It's wierd when I try to tell you guys exactly why I find this disturbing since I'm at loss of words here even though there's so, so, so, SO much....I'd like to say...  But I just can't. I honestly can't find a way how to tell you guys everything I've just saw. So, why not just let me tell you things I've seen during this movie. I let you guys read those and you tell what you think of a movie that has all this. Hold on your seats everyone because here we go; this is the movie Gyo;
. Sharks with mechanical spider legs
. End of the world feeling
- Threesome sex
. Technically fart jokes
. Human mutating virus
. Gas, gas, gas and stench everywhere
. When the fish's explode the spider things feed on humans and animals
. Tons of people gone crazy out of fear
. One moment where I said out loud; "I've seen enough hentai to know where this octopus thing is going..."
- ...Okay it didn't go that far but I know most of us would think that when they see that scene so don't judge me!
- There's hoses...that goe in...holes...of human body...
- This just feels like one of those directers personal sexual fantasy porn movies he couldn't have made otherway...

I guess that's most of it. Then again, I'm pretty sure there's more but...Yeah...I just can't take this... If you really have absolutely nothing to do and your ready to how the human race's talent to surprise should never be underrestimated....This is your movie. Take a note though; the ending is... It won't give you any payoff. Once you've seen it you're gonna be like; "....thefaqqudidIjustwatchu...?!" Some people know I like to see some utter s*** once in a while.....Dunno can't help it...But this...THIS was something. A true masterpiece. An ode, serenade, no, a WHOLE SYMPHONY to the s***tyness...! Hallelujah! Everybody; GO SEE THIS ONE...Do me a favor and juhusthhghooo seeeheheeee thissss onhhhhhh....WAAAAA-ha-ha-ha-haaaaaaa... T_T
So yeah, like I said; yesterday was a females day where I'm living and it got me thiking.
Thinking about the female characters in anime and manga and what sorta personalities they get.

Females tend to have...certain kinda reason they appear in the series. Far too many series, at least in my opinion, have females there just service, where they only need to look and act cute. And have boobs of course. And personally...I'm getting tired of this. Now don't get me wrong now; in my books cute > sexy or hot easily, but it's just that we've seen this So many times. What I mean with this is that sometimes it feels like they just add unneeded character to the serie for an excuse to see some boobs. (...nothing against the boobs though either lol :P) What I've understood this is because of the females status in Japan though, as (if I've got it correct) is that being a mae is like...better.... (geewiz...It's hard to continue this without sounding like a sovinist) Many animes and mangas tend to show the females as weaker and somehow...more pathetic...than male characters. Then again; this is also because usually in the series the main character is your everyday cool hero dude (at least in shonen series) and I confess that making a female character that to this genre without her being just a boob rack is really hard, since the supporting cast shouldn't be more stronger than the lead characters...Unless it's one of those stories where the lead character starts as a zero but becomes the hero in the end.

Let's look at Naruto, for example. As we all know Sakura iiis...well she has her fanbase but let's face it; she's not exactly a strong character. This is kinda ironic though, since as we've seen she posses the physical strenght to destroy...pretty much anything, but she still almost never does anything in the serie. So far she's had like two or three fights where she actually was strong. The fight he protected  Naruto and Sasuke during Chuunin Exam, Fight against Sasori and the small things like when she managed to spot the copycat Neji and when she fought against Ino. But other than that she hasn't really been that strong and memorable, other than using her to create some drama to the serie. Personally I thought she had her moment when she decides to kill Sasuke herself (oh yeah, spoilers BTW) but when she had the change to do it she just stops and even admits herself that she just can't do it. And that point was probably one of the greatest nails to her coffin IMO. "But hey it's okay; Kishimoto himsef said that he has trouble creating a good female characters, so this is okay" ...How many times you've heard this? I'm not saying this isn't true but...sooooo what's the point? If he himself admits that he can't make stong female characters, how does that make Sakura more usefull...? (come at me bro!) And it's not just Sakura either; even though I am Hinata fan I must admit she's not that much stronger than Sakura either. She has had couple of fights where she did okay (and granted the anime made her way stronger during her fights against both Neji and Pain) but othar than that...she hasn't done that much either. What separates her from Sakura though is that Hinata seems to be mentally more stronger character than Sakura. Though granted; maybe we hear her thoughts more often than Sakuras because Hinata is more shy and talks less. And let's not forget Tenten. You remember her right? The girl that one time when she....or that...well...what has she done again? Okay; in the anime she has like a fight or two, like the one she fights against her clone (oh yeah, spoilers still on BTW) but other than that...yyyeeeeah she is there... But in the manga...I can't remember a single thing she was in. An let me say the fight with Temari doesn't count, since Temari just outclassed her so hard in the fight.
Honestly, only Temari and Tayuya (you remember, the girl who helped to kidnap Sasuke before Shippuuden) are the only females that I can remember from Naruto. And no; I don't count females like Guren since she's from animes filler seasons. Hmmm...Maybe I went too int to this with Naruto but...Honestly; I think Naruto is perfect example of this subject because it has so large character roster. Lot's of damsels in distress and only few of these strong ones.

Thankfully we do also have these strong and independent women as a characters though. Haruhi Suzumiya and Motoko Kusanagi are just two examples, and luckily it seems that nowdays this kinda female characters rise up more and more in all kinds of series. Grated, there are still more and more of these useless characters, or damselss in distress, but let's face it; there always will be. They will appear since they represent the helpless character our heroic leads will always come to save to rise their own ego and make them look more heroic in our eyes. Yes, they are needed but my point here is that nowdays not every single female character is like this anymore. Times change and the female characters in anime and manga (and other media infact) are bound to change more in the future too. Time will tell what kinda female characters we see in the future. Will I wait for it? Absolutely!

Okay...I think that's enough now...My point here isn't tell what kinda female characters I like the best, tbh like I said before, the innocent and cute is the way to go with me. But do I enjoy seeing the strong woman and possibly as a lead characters? Aboslutely. That is exactly the point here; to raise some talk about this subject. So...Go ahead...Tell your own oppinion of this case and what kinda characters you like.

But now to the other point...Since I was doing this kinda thinking, it also made me think of the following; who are my top 10 favorite anime & manga female character right now?
It took me some time but I think I have the list ready, so here it is. This is Zinles Top 10 favorite females in anime and manga (9.3.2013)
Keep in mind that I'm gonna use the 'only one character per franchise' rule to avoid things like naming all the females from Persona 4, for example.
Also take note that even though I kept writing about the strong and independent women, this isn't a list of characters like this.
I say it once more; cute and funny characters are more my thing.

It was kinda hard to make this list, since no matter what I had hard time thinkin the top 10.
Characters like Nozomi Kanayama (Girls Saurus) or Natsumi (Higurashi [Demon Exposing Arc]) but I finally managed to make somekinda top 10.

But without further bla bla bla -ing...Let's begin.

Honorable Mention; Little My (Tanoshii Moomin Ikka)

Technically My doesn't count since Moomins are only half anime, much like Alfred J Quak too for example. By this I mean; yes; the TV serie you probably saw was made in Japan, but the origin of the series is from another country. I still wanted so bad to mention My here so...Luckily the tag of "honorable mention" gave a chance for that. :P
But honestly...what can I say from her? She's so tiny but she certainly has the attitude and she's always ready for action or another adventure. Have a situation where other characters would hestitate? She'd do it instantly. Without My the chemistry between Moomin characters would be...lot duller. I can see why some people might think of her as annoying since she certainly has an ADHD...or at least SOMETHING like it, but...yeah, like I said; without her a lot would be missing. Little My, amen.

Number 10 - Hinako Aikawa (Bitter Virgin)

Hello there cutie! Yup, Hinako Aikawa is, like many other teen romance manga main females, a cute shy girl our hero has feelings for. Things take a turn when he accidentically hears Hinako (who thinks she's talking to a priest) make a confession for him in the church "When I was in junior high I was sexually abused by my father. I got pregnant and then had an abortion." By this point I needed to check "...wait...this was a romance manga, right...? RIGHT?!" And ladies and gentlemans; yes it is. Hinako is your average shy teengirl, but after you learn her story you also understand why she acts so distant and reacts the way she does. Since I was about the the strong characters earlier; I think Hinako is one. At least mentally I mean, and she grows stronger during the serie. But honestly...That's all about Hinako really...As a character she isn't that interesting really and I think she made it to the list just because of her history. But honestly; I still remember her and this serie, which I read LONG time ago. Is that enough for me tho think she is one of my favorite female characters? I don't see why not.
Honestly guys; read this serie. Bitter Virgin is has surprisingly dark things to tell (I'm not taking just about abortion here) so you might enjoy it. Yes it's a love story but...honestly...Urgh! I'd want to give one spesific spoiler out now but...I just don't want to...even though I want to...ummm...Just read it okay! (and also read the authors other serie Girls Saurus and it's sequel. Funny ecchi harem stuff btw XD)

Number 09 - Gally / Alita (Gunnm / Battle Angel Alita)

I was fifteen years old when I bought my first two Gunnms from certain divar. I've never been a fan of mecha series, but something in Gunnm just hit me. A scientist finds a broken cyborg with and repairs it...few chapters later this hottie dresses on latex suit and is a bounty hunter with no memory of her past other than her fighting style. The Panzer Kunst. What I like in Gally is that...Well okay, she is hot. But other than that she is one of those character that you just know can take care of herself. Through the second book she also goes through a romance with a human and we can see the problems she has. Like the one that since she is a machine, she could crush her love in an instant. Gally has a serious personality, but she has her cute and kind side too. And personally, I think Gally is oe of those lead females that work. She actually works as a main character in an action serie. Personally I think that the character doesn't work that well in the OVA, that covers the first two mangas...with some freedom of course. But in the manga...Well I think I made clear what I think. That's why; Gally.

Number 08 - Yumi Nagumo (Ciguatera)

Yumi is...normal. Really normal. Heck; Ciguatera is pretty much just real life story and the characters are really realistic, but Yumi is like that girl that every guy wants to date. She's pretty, funny, smart, she just feels realistic. She has a crush on the MC in the serie that is you basic every day loser, but the thing why I kept reading was because...well while the story is odd but realistic, it kept me curious to see where this was going. The main pair seems odd as heck (though it keeps hope up for guys like me lol) but it actually work. They go through the relationship at their own pace and the just feels right. Heck, Yumi even makes fun of Ogino every once in a while by imitating him like; "Oooooohh...that's a weeeewwy good qwestion...!" and s their relationship progress she also begins to tease her. You know...boob flash once in a while and all that... I like (XD) And that's why Yumi makes it on the list. Even though she is so normal she's just...the girl you really like. That is all.

Number 07 - Yui Hirasawa (K-ON!)

She is silly...really silly. And I like that kinda girls. (wink-wink you single girls XD) Add unresistable cuteness to that and...Yeah, you get on my list lol. I had some hard time choosing between Ritsu, Mugi, Ui and Yui, but as you can see; I ended up going with Yui. And honestly...I don't know why. Maybe because she is so surprising. She learns lot of things that you might not expect, she is simple...Ehh....Mugi is like that too, but...ARGH I DUNNO!!! XDDD Something in Yui is just so cute I can't resist it. Since this isn't going really anywhere now...yeah...I'll move on.

Number 06 - Yotsuba Koiwai (Yotsuba&!)

...This will go like in Yui's case...She is literally so happy person, so free and so innocent that you just have to like her. She is interested in everything and she can make an adventure out of everything. Just like small kids use to. Yet she has also a certain personality, bit tomboish though. ...granted it might be because she's living with such a...gang. She constantly keeps smiling and is a little miss sunshine, but just like a kid she can have a moping moments or she cries when she doesn't get what she wants and when she's trying to hide something....I dunno; Kiyohiko Asuma is just a genious. Azumanga Daioh is pretty much one of my favorite manga series and he doesn't dissapoint with Yotsuba either.

Number 05 - Hinata Hyuga (Naruto)

...Yeeeeah I think I already made clearI like Hinata, didn't I? I think she has cute personality (shy = cute) and...c'mon guys let's confess; you'd wish someone cute and nice would stalk you too. (XP) Hinata is pretty much...really stereotypical. I mean...yeah insert boob joke here, but...c'mon it's true! She has pretty eyes and though she isn't exactly an asskicker; she can still take care of herself quite allright. I dunno, somehow Hinata is just...really cute, person. In every way I like so...I guess that's why she's on the list. But c'mon, who could hate her...! ;_;

Number 04 - Natsuki Hagiwara (Ane Doki)

Just like Yumi Nagumo, Natsuki is one of those girls we all want.Smart, cute and yea-yea-yea-yea we've had this conversation already. Natsuki is also though really childish and playfull and that makes her more cute in my books. Other thing that separates her from Yumi is that she is more like a...surprise big sister. No, honestly. And other thing; her love for adventure. She agrees to take care of a boy she doesn't know at all while the dad is away all because she's wanted to try living in place she's unfamilliar with. If that isn't an adventure; I don't know what is. Like I said, she's like your everyday possible girlfriend candidte while also being like older sister for you. She also keeps you safe and also has some motherly traits. She encourages you in everything and also gives you hints or guidelines how to be a better person. Natsuki is just...Like a perfect female. And that grants her a hi position on this list. Moving on.

Number 03 - Midori Kasugano (Midori no Hibi)

Midori. Just like many others she is cute, kind and happy. She's always there for you and she always tries her best at everything. that I think of it she is lot like Natsuki...Hmm...Didn't pay attentio to tha before. ...But yeah anyway; what can I say about Midori that I haven' said already...I could go on and on that she's kind and likes adventures, she is passionate and is ready to lend a hand when you need it. ... (facepalm) pun intended there... She also gets easily jealous some times and she tries her best to keep his dear Seiji of porn (....or from any more competition for her XD) The chemistry she has with other characters in the serie...just hilaious. Than again; you can expect lot of funny things when the story goes that you suddenly have a girl that has a crush on you as your right hand and now she lives with you. All the basid everyday life living jokes and...Just tons of fun. I like how Midori also is like a...teengirl. ...okay, that sounded wrong...what I mean is....Her real body is in coma state, and she does return to it few times, but she always comes back for her love and keeps living as his hand. Whatever as long as she can stay with her love now that she's finally managed to reach him. And I think that's cute. You see her pain when she thinks of her family and how much this must hurt them, but she wants to stay with Seiji because she lloves him. Seriously; Midori no Hibi is seriously one of those romance comedy series I think people should read. Plus it has some other cool characters too, like Nao Makinoha (who btw was a serious challenger for this list) but in the end, the good ol fresh green Midori takes the win from this serie.

Number 02 - Kiki (Kiki's Delivery Service)

Out of all Miyazakis movies, Kiki's Delivery Service has my favorite female character. And that is Kiki herself. She is like a...Like many females from this list combined. She has a touch of Yotsuba, My, since she is pretty outgoing nature and when she decides something, she really goes for it. She is still a child need to talk about her chidlshness, right? She has her shy nature like Hinata does but is also curious of new and sometimes odd things much like Yui. She is kind and cute and...honestly, Kiki is pretty much like this list itself. I don't think there is anything to say about her that I haven't already covered in this list before. Kiki isn't exactly a sstrong character, but more like...gutsy. She is gutsy and determined to finish something once she sho decides. Like mny teengrils she has their common problems, like when she come too late for her date she is all like "I can't live anymore!!" ...sure she doesn't say that, ut the self moping she does...It's just so adorable. X) During her journey Kiki also learns a lot from herself and what she wants. It's growth story, sure, but...Sorry, I had soething to say here, but my mind went blanc now and I have no idea what I was gonna say... So...Yeah. Kiki. Some people know already that she is my favorite Miyazaki girl (sounds so wrong lol) may be surprising that she isn't the number one on the list.

But...If Kiki isn't the number one then...who is?

She is...

Favorite; Pino (Ergo Proxy)

Iiiiiiiit's Pino <3
Pino isn't exactly what I'm looking from female characters (honestly; Kiki would have been number one easily here) but Pino is...she is just so pure and innocent, not to mention she is incredibly cute and that pink bunny costume of hers...Just so pure and innocent. And that is exactly why I like her so much. Because of the contrast she creates. The world of Ergo Proxy is so dark and sad that a happy little girl like Pino is like a white dot on a black paper in this serie. She also has a childish personality, which is always cute as I've said before, but here it totally shines thanks for the contrast it gives. She also cares for Vincent and even Re'l Mayer, who she teases a lot though. Together they seem just like a small family or something. Like a chil should, Pino also has her favorite toys with her, her melodica. ...there isn't much to say here. Every time I just see Pino I'm instantly glad and happy. She's fun and a real happy sunshine. And that's why Pino is my all time favorite character to date.

Well that's my list...For now anyway. :P
What is yours?

I don't know when I'll make next journal. I had a topic to talk about with these two, but...Right now I don't have anything. I had a thought writing of male characters too, but...I don't think I care for that topic so much... But I'm interested to make somekinda topic out of the villains in different series. That I might do later, but...Not sure when. And I don't think I'll make a top something list then...I might though but...Won't promise anything.

Oh well; Untill next time...someday...
Zin zin.
Ummmmm...Yeah, my very first journal.
I don't really know what you'r suposed to write in these (because I felt too lazy to check lol)
so...What I'm gonna write in these is...recent happneings and things I've done, or think about or something like that.
You know, kinda like a blog...or vlog....but not quite. Why didn't I just start vlog on YouTube or blog on somewhere?
Because I wouldn't have a patience to keep it up, like weekly or something and if I'd make it once per month; I'd eventually forget it.
Besides; nothing happens in my life that much anyway, so that's why I'm doing it this way.
I make a new one once I have something to tell or discuss about, but...yeah. This time I just wanna try this thing. :)

So...I decided to clean the house a bit today and by 12:00 PM I decided to open the window so the air in the apartment can fresh out.
Well, seeing it's cold during this time a year here I decided not to rot in home, but go to town for few hours.
Whuppididubbi, I ended up going to flea market. And to tell the truth; it's been a while I last visited one even though I like flea markets pretty much.
Usually I buy just some random small things that don't cvost much or a plush toys, but I also like to see what is on sale there.
You know; it's actually pretty interesting what kinda stuff people bring there for selling. Books, clothes, toys, videos, dvds, music cd's, games...those are basics,
but once in a while you find some really interesting stuff there. Army helmet?  Some collectable items? Antennas? Yea, been there seen that.
...Okay, those things didn't sound that interesting, but you guys know what I mean, right? I find those little things interesting.
And of course, if you are lucky enough, you'll might find some mangas in good condition while also lot cheaper than in stores.

So, after walking there a while I found a rubic cube that costed 1 Since I've always wanted one, dunno why lol, I decided that now is the time. XP
Other thing I found and bought was 0.5 l beer tankard. Sure; like some people know I don't drink alcohol (nor smoke on that matter) but I though that "Yeah...a self respecting male SHOULD HAVE at least one tankard...!!!" Besides...I'm gonna have the manliest cup of cocoa of my life with that tankard lol.
Didn't find anything else to buy, though I seriously considered lot of things there. For example; I found Hamtaro comic (yes; the orange hamster) at 3 , but decided not to take it with me. Meh...Usually I would have taken a cheap manga or comic with me but...I dunno...A Hamtaro comic (take a note it's a COMIC, not a manga book now) wouldn't have looked that nice in my bookshelf next to my other mangas.

Of course there were plushie toys again and I was DYING to buy a moominmamma doll I found but...nah forget it; honestly I have no idae anymore why I didn't buy it...!! ;_;
I mean...sure, it costed around 8 , which was maybe bit pricy for my taste, since I usually buy plushies that cost from 2 to 5 or something.
Besides...Now that I think of it; it wasn't in THAT good condition either but....meh...If I would have won even 10 from lottery couple of days earlier; sure I would have taken it with me. Now that I think of it; somehow everything with a moomin in them are things I'm most interested. Sure, I love moomins from the bottom of my heart but...Eh, I just guess it's fun to notice this kinda things. Speaking of which; there was also some cool glass cans for sell...take a wild guess whos picture was on front of it.... XP
Yeah it was a moomin can okay, but I left it there. Sure, the price was only 2 but...Somehow I didn't feel that interested in it. Meh...dunno...I do have a moomin dining set would have been a mismatch for my set.

Ehh....I'll leave moomins and move on now, okay? What else was there that I was interested in. Well...lot of things, like I said, but I'm just gonna mention few more for since I don't want this to be too long.
Metal Gear Solid 2 for PS2 was kinda interesting find for 5 buuuuuut I didn't buy that either. I'm not that keen of MGS games to be honest. Now don't take me wrong here; I'm not saying MGS's are bad but...just not for me. Maybe I go buy it there someday, maybe not. Speaking of games...It's a wonder how you sometimes find some cool games from the flea markets. Out of my all games the ones I have bought from flea market are Rayman for PS one, Sims for PS2 (...don't know...I WAS YOUNG OKAY!!!! XDDD) The Road to El Dorado on Game Boy Color, which btw is one of my childhoods classics and I still like that game a lot.
I've also found some...hmmm..."didn't expect to see this here" -kinda movies from flea markets. ...Okay sure; porn is common there but I'm not speaking of that!! X)
I'm talking about movies like Ring 2 (not the one with Samara...That one I already had for my bad movies christmas marathon)
Honestly; I never expected to see THAT one there. I once saw the Ringus from TV and I still have the first and third/0 Basudei on it's memory. Hopefully I manage to find those movies someday too, because believe me those things are rare finds here where I'm living.

Anyway...there is still one more item I like to share with ya guys that I found today from the FM. Samurai swords.
Sure, those weren't real of course and they were only for ornaments, but MAN did they look cool. The color scheme was red and black (which is one of my favorite color combinations) so I really loved those. Honestly I would have bought them in that instant, since those weren't that costy. The smaller one was 8 and the longer was 12 . But like I said; there was one problem. ...I had no way to get those to my home. I went for a walk after all so there was no ride for me to take and even the smaller one was too large to carry in my backpack. ...And needless to say I didn't wanna find out what kinda Finlands Last Samurai stories would rise if I'd walk home carrying two swords in my hands... Yeah...I'm kinda sad actually. Next time I'm going there I'll go with my guitar bag. That should do it nicely. Besides...I would feel like a mafioso. Didn't they carry guns in those? Or was it violin cases? Meh...

So yeah...this is todays story.
What ya think of it and...if you have any flea market stories and finds; share please. ^^
I'll make a new journal tomorrow. You see, today (8.3) is a women day where I'm living,
and because of that I'll make a certain list for tomorrow.
...Granted; It would be better to do it today but...Meh...Today we are talking about flea markets b**ch!!! XDDD
