Usually i come here to forget what's happening in the world for a little while, but i find it so disturbing these days.

Forty five years ago the coin phrase, "I am not a crook." was made, and history has judged how truthful that statement was.

I just get this terrible feeling that history is repeating itself, and in a few decades my grand children will look back at the phrase, "No collusion with Russia", with the same measure of truthfulness.

From day one for claims of the 'size' the inauguration ceremony, we've heard one falsehood followed by another to pad a specific individual's fragile ego.  I still can't believe we are going on two years, and still dealing with this stuff.  Things have not calmed down and gotten better, they're accelerating well past considered worse case scenarios, and really if nothing is done soon, i have serious concerns on  where this is going.  Most days you wake up and understand that the world is a really big place, and your ability to impact it is humbling.  We are however, last time i checked, a collective democracy.  Collectively we can't be ignored.

If you feel, as i do, that the world is just going in a direction you don't understand and have concerns about, I suggest to you, to do as i have done.  Break Tradition.  Don't just shake your head and presume you can do nothing about it.  Go out and do 'one' thing.  If we all do 'one' thing, who knows who many other decisions on this topic might be moved by an action that started with what you did.  Change needs to start somewhere, why not with you?

Write a journal entry about it like me, post on a forum to voice your views to let others know that they are not alone with their thoughts, and lets enact peaceful change on this problem before that option is no longer an option.

That's my birthday wish this year.

Sin City Patriotica
Okay so this render is rare, in that i'm using someone else's work as the basis for it.  This is the short version of how this came about.

So i have been a quiet fan of Mr. Bunny for a while now and this is my personal view of his work.

Rendering out an entire Super Heroine Peril story is quite a bit of work so, anyone dedicated enough to sit down and take on such a project deserves some acknowledgement.  When they put it out there for public consumption without compensation beyond the joy of sharing their work, is pretty extraordinary and shows what a labor or love they are for him.

All artist have their own style, and for the most part, I enjoy the colorful, heroic proportioned, and straight forward peril style that he renders his stories with.

I've been developing the 'Sin City' look which can be observed with the last cover I did for Don Ship, so i decided that I wanted to try the process out with another artist's work.  No ulterior motives, I just wanted to exercise the technique i was working on.

Such a style works best with a character that has some element of 'red' in their costume, Patriot Heroines are a natural draw for this.  So on an impulsive whim, I dropped Mr. Bunny a note regarding the borrowing of some of his renders to 'tweak'.  While he was curious i gave no details on what i wanted to do with his work, preferring to present them as a 'surprise'.  With only a little hesitation, he accepted my offer to tinker with his renders of which this is the result.

I also took the opportunity to tweak the power belt that Patriotica uses.  I was never really a fan of the 'bump texture used for the belt, which felt a little out of place.  While it doesn't need to be removed, i thought dialing down the strength of the texture would present a better look for the character so i took the opportunity to indulge my theory.

I did a little more post work on it (cropping the render to be tighter and adding my name) and that was it.

My thanks to :iconmrbunnyart: for allowing me to indulge my whim.

Daddys Girls
Been sort of busy, but just noticed that Don has released a new title, Ms Patriot Daddy's Girl.  The gist of the plot is that a crime boss plot to enslave all the heroines in the city.

Its been a challenge to figure out how to make a good cover with out triggering action by the Amazon Censor Nazis.  That said, this one came pretty easy.  I had a strong image in my head for what i wanted to do, but would have to experiment and try some new things to get it done.

There was a strong male mastermind that i wanted to portray on the cover, so i dusted off my male model, and manged to work one onto the cover.

Then there was the style.  I have always been a fan of the 'Sin City' style, from the movies and wanted to try my hand making a cover in that style piece together a distinguished looking mob boss.  Went to a bit of trouble to make this cover black and white with red highlights to give it that Sin City feel, and help the cover look different from others.

I actually like the look of this cover, and the style, and will probably revisit it again in the future for another Ms. Patriot cover.

For whatever reason, Don does not seem to be selling this title on Amazon.

Harmony Heroines
So ... I did Virtuous Venus yesterday and felt inspired to make a few more Harmony Heroines, and threw them together for a group render.

Left to right you have Virtuous Venus, Dynamic Damsel and Spell Binder.

Models were actually done roughly to 'scale'.  Danielle Ashe is like 5'0' and super buxom for that petite size.  She's got the height for a sidekick, but a body qualified for Power Girl.

Then we had Dynamic Damsel, who's first incarnation was a petite hispanic brunette, but was followed by a taller blonde.  I sort of mixed them together, taking the general look of the blonde but filling her out with the originals curves.

Spellbinder was an interesting character, there are actually four actresses that have player, her but i will credit Darla Crane with coming up with her classic look, and playing her wonderfully for several videos making her popular and firmly establishing the genre as commercially viable.  I took her general costume look which had while legging and blue satin garters around each leg.  I might have got a little carried away with the scissors while texturing, cause the top is sort of skimpy, but really i doubt an of you will mind that too much.  I made her really tall, like Kelly Ashton tall, who seemed to always tower over most of the other models and even some of the villains.  I believe the actress who played the role the most was Kelsie Chambers who followed Darla Crane.  She had that classic superheroine look to her that helped her pull the role off and allowed Spellbinder's popularity to continue.

I've been tinkering with them in assorted Harmony perils... but really, they're for me, and i've given up posting that sort of stuff here, sorry.  Though i hope these renders, help your imaginations to run a little wild.

Virtuous Venus - Public Service Announcement
It has been a rather long since my last update.

Just quietly enjoying life.

I still tinker now and then, but feel less moved to share stuff in Deviant Art.  Unless it's strictly work friendly stuff, i probably wont be posting more risque stuff.  It's just the nature of the medium at this point that Deviant art seems to want to foster.

That said... Way way way! the hell back, when finding super heroine anything was a lot harder, Harmony Concepts was perhaps the first to actively pursue a super heroine themed line of videos.  With names such as Spell Binder, Dynamic Damsel, Atomic Woman, Pink Lightning, Maiden America, and of course Virtuous Venus these do gooders matched wits with evil doers and of course more often than not ended up in bondage.

I decided to build a Virtuous Venus model, and based it on the original Virtuous Venus who Danielle Ashe, who was a petite but VERY buxom actress/model.  I did update the costume a little here and there, but kept to the spirit of the look.  Old fan, or potential new one, hopefully you'll enjoy this short skit.
