Grim Greaser Chibi Commission

of his original character the Grim Greaser!



A fun character to draw and change into my chibi design because he has such strong design features which was great to convert to here. I went with stretchy arms...I really wanted to do this pose with the scythe being swung, but didn't think it could be done with short stubby chibi arms and such a massive head, so I figured, 'hey, it's a cartoon, the arms can just stretch', and so that's what I did.

Also, compared to the other chibi's, this was drawn all traditionally with my col-erase pencil and a 6B to do the lineart. Usually I use a pen to ink it, or will draw straight into the computer, but wanted to see if it was any easier. Didn't make much difference, maybe a little quicker, but had to be cleaned up from pencil smudges in photoshop.
