Celtic Claw 2015

Finally getting around to redesigning Celtic Claw, one of the first characters I introduced on dA back in 2006.

Here has gone through a few redesigns over the years, trying to get away from the City Of Heroes character creation vibe where his origins lay. I felt in recent designs I was losing the essence of the character and things I liked most about the original, so I went back and just tried to simplify things, and I like how this turned out.

Celtic Claw

Height: 5'6"

Origin
Born in a small Welsh villiage with a brittle bone mutation that had a molecular structure similar to coal, his parents took young Mark Rush to top scientists who wanted to try an experimental procedure to hopefully correct his bones and earn them a noble prize in the process. The experiment was a success, applying huge amounts of pressure to the bones, they became much denser to a substance very similar in structure to solid diamond. News travelled around the world of the operation, but painted a target on Mark for the rest of his life, as he became known as the boy with the billion dollar bones. 

His skeleton seen as a prized asset to criminals, his parents were killed in a kidnap attempt. Mark fled, and lived rough on the streets for most of his life. As Mark grew, he started to develop mutations within his body, most likely from the experiment he endured as a boy, but now his body seemed to be able to heal itself. As Mark grew older, he fell into a life of crime as a petty cat burglar, his diamond nails excellent at cutting glass to sneak into buildings and steal valuables.

Eventually his luck ran out and he was captured by the government. Impressed by his unique skills and abilities, they offered him an ultimatum; work as an agent, or go into prison. A no brainer, Mark was trained to hone his skills and fighting techniques, and was equipped with diamond covered claws to help get the job done. Now he goes on missions to stop terrorists and super villains alike, all while seeking revenge for those who killed his parents. 
It wasn't long until the villains found out that Celtic Claw was in possession of the billion dollar bones, and while many may try to hunt him down to claim their treasure, now Mark Rush has all the skills available to him to make sure that he doesn't have to go on the run any more.

Powers - Solid Diamond like bones, sharp diamond cutting nails, healing factor, gymnastic abilities, trained in hand to hand combat, armed with two 3 pronged diamond tipped retractable claws.
