She is the quiet flame of hope, the guardian of the thin light that survives in the coldest Winter. Even when cold white blankets all that we know, we can always take comfort in the knowledge that the light will return.
Another year is upon us bringing yet another entry to my Christmas Series! She's still in need of coloration, which I plan to finish in watercolor. It may not happen till after Christmas, sadly, as I will be laid up after gallbladder surgery this coming week! Hopefully, she can still bring some cheer after the fact when I'm eventually able to complete this painting.
