10x20 inches, watercolor and ink with 23k gold leaf text.

The Lady of October bears the Marigolds and dons the stone of Opal. The Marigold represents warmth and creativity. The Opal will bring her clarity and protection from illness.  She ushers in a time of darkness and a promise of peace for the lost.

Lady of October's detail montage, matching masquerade mask, and coloring pages:

While the other Ladies of the Months do their best to guide and protect the spirits of mortals, the Lady of October wanders in their between-spaces. In this season of mists where the veil grows thin, many spirits become lost. She draws them to herself with the strong scent of marigolds, the offering of candles and flowers guiding her way to them.

One need never fear the dark before the Winter, for she will always be there with a warm embrace to guide the lost back to the light.

Now that this Lady is done, the entire set of birthstone paintings is complete!
You can view the whole set here and check out the upcoming coloring book Kickstarter for the series:

Absolutely gorgeous!
I really have to check out your other creations. I also would love to try to colour one of your line art Ladies. Love
Did you use watercolours?

Yup the paintings in this series were all inked with waterproof inks and painted with watercolors!  I have a materials list up online here if you're curious - www.angelicshades.com/tools-ma…

I'd love to see other folks color the line art!  Definitely share it with me when you do, as I'd love to re-share it with my fans.

I haven't had many opportunities to use the Gamboge pigment in any of my paintings. I'm glad I finally had the opportunity!  It was perfect for these sunny marigolds.:)

I admire the inclusion of the Kitsunebi you've placed in this piece. Very nice work I'll have to check out the other ones you've done for this series.

My goodness each one of them is marvelously well drawn each with unique aesthetics. If you sell a calendar of them I'd be more than happy to purchase it.

A calendar is definitely the ultimate plan!  It's an item I hope to either have a publisher print for me or to print myself using funds from Kickstarter.  I'm also Kickstarting a physical coloring book of all the line art as well, if you're into that kind of thing.  That's happening very soon!  I'm so stoked! :D  Can't wait to see all of my lovelies together!

A coloring book is a great idea as well. I hope that goes swimmingly as I would like to have a calendar of them. When do you plan on Kickstartering the calendar?

I'm still shopping around for publishers and printers right now, but the time frame is to have the Kickstarter go live in August/September so that it can be delivered by Christmas of this year.

Honestly the best thing to do is to sign up for my newsletter which is where I'll be announcing each project coming up.  You can find it at the coloring book link (which will also net you a download of a free coloring page) - lotmcoloringbook.angelicshades… The list there puts you on my general info list and there are also links to my social media places at the bottom of the page as well, if you prefer to keep up there.:)
