Currently based out of Atlanta, Georgia, I’m an Army brat who grew up with a love for the strange and unusual. The work of fairy tale illustrator, Trina Schart Hyman, inspired me at a young age to pursue illustration.
I draw inspiration from many sources, including surrealism and imaginative realism. Some of my favorite artists include Jason Chan, James Jean, and John Jude Palencar. I also take much inspiration from the comic art and stories of David Mack and Joseph Michael Linsner.

You nicely captured the iridescent flash of abolone here. Nice work! Appreciation for the character looking a little more rough and older as well.
Perhaps if you gilded your entire kit. I think a little gold trim might show your opulance or perhaps even your mastery over the gold depending on the iconography of your equipment. I do wonder if gold is seen in the same way as orichalcum since they are different elements in-system, if I recall. There are goldsmiths in Gem in 2e, after all.
But I do love the thought of an Abyssal either mocking or in mourning for their former Solar state with the inclusion of gilding.
