AR-News : Welcome to the World of Macro
Macro Photography Gallery - The Changes
The Macro Gallery has now its own Gallery Director, me, who will take care of this tiny and delicate gallery.  Why did this gallery get it’s own GD ? Because it needs some love and some more attention and also a major clean-up.
What is new in the Macro Gallery ?
The Macro gallery will only be for real macro from now on. It did get a new description and hopefully anyone who submits there and who isn’t sure what macro is or if his/ her image belongs there, will read it .
The definition of macro is capturing an image of a subject the same size or larger than life size on the recording media, whether that be film or digital sensor size. For example if you photograph an insect that is 2 cm (3/4 inch) long, it's image will be 2 cm (3/4 inch)long on the film or digital sensor. The smaller the recording media the smaller the subject must be. Cropping an image does not make a close-up image a macr

(An important announcement cross-posted from my main account, AngelaSasser)

I have a confession to make...I really abhor my username here.  Back in the summer of yore, I merely chose to use my email handle when I first joined up.  My professional handle was just a glimmer in my eye and hadn't quite taken solid form yet in my mind.

Nowadays?  I hate that my username has a number on the end. I hate that it represents a very old SN that I do not use anymore.  It's outdated and I've outgrown it.  I have been thinking about switching to a new username for over a year now.  I know this would be a hassle for others, including myself. I've got so many accounts based around the 'ladydove7' name and this would just screw up my naming scheme. I have hundreds of devs I'd have to move, to boot!

So I created a solution!  A Group called Angelic-Shades.

Now before you go scolding me for spreading myself too thin, let me explain!  This is not an alternate account, but a Group collecting deviations from my various accounts here on DA.  This group will only be collecting the best of my work from my ALL of my accounts here on DA.

Have you ever been curious about my stock, photography, writings, or crafts, but just didn't want to Devwatch any more accounts for fear of getting flooded?  Then Devwatching Angelic-Shades is the thing for you! It's the cream of my crop, the best of the best.  It is a tidy organized professional face void of all of my random clashing personal work.

I am not going anywhere nor switching my username, but at least now I have a face here on dA that I can be proud of. I hope you will go give it a look and spread the word!

I plan to hold Group exclusive sales and events over at Angelic-Shades every now and again, so it's a good reason for you faithful followers of my various accounts to add it to your Watch as well.;)

I hope you'll bare with me in this endeavor, or if you'd like to stay in the nice contained world of AngelaSasser that you continue to enjoy your time here.

Thanks to all of you for supporting me here on DA.  I love this place and hope I'll be here for years to come!

Ang
