The HMS Bounty went down in hurricane Sandy. Two crew members were lost. The remaining 14 crew members lost their jobs, many of their belongings, and their homes when that ship went down.

I painted this for a crew member who used to sail on the Bounty, but I’m selling prints of it on Imagekind and donating the proceeds to the Bounty crew relief fund.

God rest the two crewmen's and the Bounty's soul. She was a marvelous ship. Such a shame she succumbed to a storm. The painting really reflects her beauty. Well done.

Lovely loose watercolor illustration! I walked Bounty's decks once in Baltimore at Privateer Day. Such a sad loss.

Hopefully they might make a replacement

They don't even remotely have the funding to make another Bounty.

Lovely. It is such a shame this happened.
