Laziel is the daughter of Avagon and Ren's childhood friend. She, like Ren, was born and raised to a royal family in the island of Octopon. As a young child, her mother and King Primus left in search of the Thirteen Treasures of Rule, leaving her and Ren both to be taken care of by Jenna, the lighthouse keeper.

After Avagon was killed when she fell into the Dark Water by Bloth, Laziel vows to become brave like her friends, and does whatever it takes to avenge her mother's death.
