:icondsfav1plz::icondsfav2plz::icondsfav3plz:  on  Fearless. This can be found at Galleta Meadows Sculptures in Anza-Borrego, Southern California. There are over 130. The owner of the Galleta Meadows Estate, Dennis Avery (Owner of Avery labels), decided he really wanted to add a bunch of free standing art to his massive property. He enlisted the help of Ricardo Breceda who began crafting these sculptures and they started to pop up around the desert. The Artist's Instagram site. www.instagram.com/ricardo.brec…

Very cool! Where did you see this? I love the eyes, it makes me think of Smaug from Tolkien's world.

It's in the desert east of San Diego.  The artist follows me on Instagram

Holy moly! When you told me there were over 130 of them it didn't quite sink in. I finally had a chance to look them up properly today and I was blown away by each and every one of them. They are so diverse too... everything from dinosaurs to horses, rams, insects,  a stage coach and all sorts each one just as spectacular as the others. amazing!

And I was fortunate to be able to locate and see most of them. Yeah

I went to Borrego Springs looooong time ago when I was a hippie Flower dance

Were the iron sculptures scattered in the desert at that time?
And thank you very much Bernie!

that was back in the 80's ( late hippie :) (Smile) )
I don't remember anything like that, I wonder if the Park was there ? I think the property was donated by a wealthy family
we went to the town of Borrego Springs

The art was donated by Mr Avery from the company that makes Avery labels.

Wow.  You followed through.  Very few people ever follow through.  I'm highly impressed.
